Guys, let's face it, without technology, i couldnt write this! The other day, I tried to update my iPod, but I didnt have iTunes so it was disabled for the whole day until iTunes downloaded, so, I was pretty much dead. I don't think the averege 12 year old girl would be doing this, (probably makin' out with boys:grin:) but I, stay up till the late hours of the night watching shane dawson. (whats that joke he says about his only sbscribers are 12 year old lesbian girls? xD) So yeah, I can't live without technology. I know this is a little random, but what is something you can't live without?

    Something I can't live without?

    My cellphone.

I am posting this from my cellphone. I do most of my browsing from my phone. I have the entire internet (collective human intelligence) in my pocket.

In an age of information, ignorance is not an excuse.

That's why I can't live without my phone. I learn from it every single day.

My cellphone. I feel like a part of me is missing when I don't have it with me.

That's a tough one. In terms of technology, it would probably be my cellphone. I'm okay with leaving it be in the house, but I can't go anywhere without my phone! Ahh! So scary!

    Air and water. Eventually food.

Or if I ignore answering "cannot live without" truthfully, I'd say the ability to block the world out with portable music.

Literature. Life without reading would be extraordinarily depressive, and would breed ignorance.

Music. People see me as quiet, but there's always some music playing in the back of my head.

I'm not sure there is technology I can't live without. But then I'm old enough to remember a time before a lot of the common "must haves" of today simply did not exist (e.g. tablets), existed but were seriously limited (e.g. computers), or were rare (e.g. cell phones).

But of course I'm old enough to remember walking to school each day, 20 miles, uphill, through seven feet of snow, and studying at night using papyrus scrolls and a candle.

Probably the #1 technology that is hugely important to me now is the computer. As a teenager, when most kids were interested in Pac Man, I fell in love with the idea of word processing. In more recent years, I've fallen in love with the Internet which has become a heavily used research tool for me. Also I like the convenience of communicating via e-mail or Facebook messaging. (Indeed, while Facebook can be a huge time drain, I've come to like how it lets me keep in touch with people whom I'd seldom or even never hear from otherwise.)

Laptop and phone. With these two things, I access my entire universe.

As much as I love history, I really can't live without it either.

I always have my iphone on me, and anymore I am almost always on the computer or the phone. S I remember a time when I got one of the first computers my group of friends had, an Apple IIe, and therefore understand the need to unplug occasionally. In order to unplug from all electronics, I go camping here in Wyoming. It is easy to find a place where your cell won't even work if you wanted it to while camping.

So yes, I can live, at least for brief periods, without any technology, and just have my husband, and my dog.

My notebook because I can do so many things on it. It is not just for internet access. I read books on it, listen to the radio, play other music, play games, keep in touch, play movies. That is just off the top of my head.

I'll be honest, I could live perfectly well without any sort of technology. I definitely greatly appreciate it, but I don't need it. I usually go three or four days between charging my phone, just because I don't care. If I didn't have school on the computer, I would probably only use it once a week or so. My favourite technology, however, is my kindle.
