hello all has anyone got a favorite drink at Christmas am asking because my doctor has put me on a dose of antibiotics ''kidney infection'' so I cant have booze :eusa_doh::dry:
Oh, sorry to hear that, hope you feel better. Well, sparkling cider is a decent alternative to champagne. There's NA beer too, but some of that stuff just tastes awful (very hit or miss). I guess if all else fails, you can always have some hot chocolate or something.
Hope your infection clears up soon (*hug*). Iced sweet tea, maybe with a nice splash of lemon juice. If you're making your own tea, just make sure to add sugar while heating the tea so that the most amount of sugar dissolves into the solution. Let it cool to room temperature and serve with plenty of ice. We drink this year-round here. If you'd like something a little more festive try making apple cider. Here's a video I sometimes use for the recipe.
Meh. Sparkling grape juice tastes nothing like wine to me. It tastes more like grape soda? I read the nutrition facts on egg-nog once. I probably shouldn't have done that. So I guess I will give my vote for apple cider as well
I love Kedem Concord grape sparkling juice. It doesn't taste like wine, but it sure is yummy. I don't know if it's available in the UK, but if it is, you'll find it in the kosher aisle of your supermarket. ---------- Post added 23rd Dec 2013 at 10:57 AM ---------- *high five*
