I went to live by the sea for university and in weather like the weather in my town is at the moment (all wind and rain) I especially long to be by the sea again. The sea is so different in dramatic wind and rain to the town. I often feel as if I was 'meant to' live in Wales and/or 'meant to' live by the sea.

So... do you think you were 'meant to' live where you were born, where you live now or somewhere else?

(If anyone can advise on how to create a poll I'll gladly take that advice!)

    New England for life.

There's something about living in the countryside in a rustic New England town but yet Boston and NYC are so accessible to me.

I went to high school in the next town over where I was born, college and grad school 20 miles away from where I was born and I am still in the same state, just a 2 hour drive away from my hometown.

I'm quite happy with where I was born. I think I'd be happier in Helsinki though, closer to the sea.

Berlin. More specifically, the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg borough.

    One day it will happen.

Central coast of California or Boulder/Ft. Collins, Colorado. I'm looking to go into academia though so I'll have to follow where the job market takes me.

I don't know where I think I was 'meant to' live, I don't feel like it's here in Scotland though. I don't know why, I just feel as if I belong elsewhere. Who knows, I might find out where I belong sometime.

Someplace where they value arts/literature more than math/science, wherever that is. Someplace where the whimsical and impractical is valued more than the mundane and practical.

I like to bounce around too much to say there is one place where I want to spend the rest of my life, but I would like to spend a considerable amount of time in New Orleans. I love the culture. I love the bigger city and that it's close to the ocean even if it's swampy. I also love the architecture and the art scene there. It's beautiful. I also love LA, SanFran, Chicago, Portland OR, NYC and oddly enough, Kansas City. hahaha. I am a wanderer.

Nunavut. A place cold and empty where there is nobody to let down, nobody to disappoint. Or anyplace cold, really. "You cannot know warmth until you have felt the cold"

Switzerland I should think, I have an affinity for mountains and lakes.

Other than that, someplace warm but civilized.

Completely agree with you! I would live in Wales (Llandudno) if I could, I spend most weekends there anyway

Somewhere coastal, warm, and slightly humid (or at least without allergens). The city I'm moving to next week ticks all the boxes.

Me too, Motto. Home is where the heart is. So, I can live in any welcoming place around the world and still feel complete and at peace as long as Love is always with me, in person or nested deep within me.

In the basement like a child cyclops. I Don't know I've only been in Michigan and Indiana and they are pretty much the same weather wise. Where ever life takes me I guess.

My mind always drifts to dramatic landscapes like those found in Scandinavia. Snow-capped mountains that run down to fjords and little coastal villages. To me it represents a union of the earth's power and tranquility all in one awe-inspiring location. Someday I'll get to go there.

In a house... I guess? Near a videogame store, and maybe a comics store.
Location? Boston, maybe. Maybe Alabama- I heard that Charles Barkley wanted to run for mayor.
Outside of America? Hong Kong. Maybe Macau or Taiwan. Japan would be fun to visit, but everything is freaking expensive. Same with South Korea. Germany would be nice to visit, too.

I believe you make your own destiny. So I don't think people are meant to live anywhere.

I feel like if I should live:

East Coast USA- My family is all from there, the food is so much better, and the ocean just makes me happy

France- I really like the food and culture and the language and how nice and accepting people are would be so much better

South Korea- again, I really like the food and culture and the language and how nice and accepting people are.

I just feel like abroad and far away from everything here or closer to everything would be better. Nothing in the middle.

Somewhere that I can walk the streets while holding a guy's hand and feel nothing but happiness about it.

This and somewhere warm, I don't like cold weather :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
