    So traditionally in the UK the song that was #1 at Christmas in the single Charts was a big thing, thing is thanks to X-Factor its always going to be one of the "winner's" manufactured songs.

    Whats the point in it anymore?

    I'm fairly sure it was always like that. Pop charts have been manipulated since they were invented and there are well-documented cases of record labels buying back tons of copies of their own records just to propel them to number #1

    The puppet hasn't changed, only now you see the strings!

    On the bright side, it's only as important as you let it be. Like any news story, it's just out there and you aren't in any way obligated to give it your attention.
    Maybe you should feel free to just chose a personal favourite and make it your own #1 for Christmas!
