Any good plans you have? Care to share you tradition for new years? Personally I'm having a hard time finding a good new year's party, and it sucks.

Probably mild celebration with family like we do every year. New Years is kinda meh to me as I don't drink alcohol or enjoy partying that much really.

I spend new years' at my best friends house, where we (w/ our families) have a sit-down dinner, watch the countdown then spend the night playing games and hanging out. Been the way for at least 5 years now. I like it, since I'm not a party person as far as I'm aware, so I prefer going round his.

I have no plans. Going to stay home, eat some food, watch fireworks out of my window. Nothing exciting.

Is it not strange that for some reason sitting at home on New Years seems so ... Dull.... I have no plans and dont let it bother me, But my friends act as if something has to be done!!!

I'm holding a small little get-together at my house for New Years, mostly co-workers but we're all good friends outside of work. Kinda excited

New Year's celebration is a lot like a homely, Thanksgiving dinner in my family. We sit together, reminisce a little, and watch the ball drop in Times Square on television.

This year me and my friend plan to get really drunk. Plan to, but don't know if we will. My friend is the only one that can legally buy the drinks and he might not have the money (I don't have money to give him for them either). He's got tequila in the fridge though so we at least have that.

One of my best friends is "forcing" me to hang out bc I always spend NYE alone. This could be a good thing bc she doesn't know I'm gay...or it could be a bad thing. We'll see!

We usually just make something to eat or get Chinese and simply watch the fireworks from the local military base, though not sure if they'll do it because they had to cut back because of budget issues. Probably will watch the Times Square ball drop and watch Justice Sotomayor do the honors with the ball drop ceremony.

I'm home over the holidays so I won't be doing anything special. I would love to join some party but I won't be going to any since I don't know any nice people at home. All my friends are spread out over the country during breaks, which sucks. All I have are my closeminded brothers which I don't intend on going to any partys with. Honestly I think new years and other holidays in general are highly overrated.

I was invited to two parties, but haven't responded to either. I really don't feel like going. One is with a lot of conservative and religious people I was friends with in college. I would just be hearing all about babies, how the Duck Dynasty guys are awesome Christian men, and arguments about how gay marriage is ruining America. Not a fun evening for me. The other will be a drunken party with former coworkers who are progressive but religious. As up and down as I've felt this last week I don't think that would be a smart choice at all. I think I am just going to go hiking on my own to ring in the new year.
