    OK, I'm curious...if you drink coffee, how old were you when you started? Me, I was 12 or 13, in the 6th-7th grade. I had just a normal drip-maker at the time, but by 9th grade. I had my first stove-top espresso maker, and then by 17, my first Cappuccino maker...and I still love coffee. It's odd, my parents never drank coffee, so I think it seemed more exotic to me, and I always loved the way it smelled, being ground.

    Ugh... Never.

    I've had it but, for however good the first 30 minutes is, I hate the next 3 hours of the jitters.

    I've loved coffee my whole life, I guess. I always managed to steal some sips from my parents' mugs when they weren't looking, as they thought coffee was bad for children. When I was 12, I started to drink it regularly and now it's my drug. I cannot start a day without coffee. I'll be like a zombie the whole day, if I don't get coffee in the morning.

    I don't drink coffee often, but I like it well enough for me to consider myself a coffee drinker.
    I tried some at age 11 and I've never gone back.

    Unlike most coffee fans, however, I also like tea! Specifically, the Chinese kind!
    I'm a tea purist and a coffee purist.

    Yeah, putting sugar in anything I'm drinking is a bad idea.

    I think I was about 12, although I never had it often then, now I drink coffee more often than I probably should. Unsweetened black coffee for me!

    I hate the taste but I'm trying to force myself to like it. I have a crippling addiction to Diet Mountain Dew, which I know is terrible for me but I need caffeine to survive grad school. Any tips on training myself to like it?

    Huh, so it seems people either started pretty young, or not at all!

    I love coffee, especially beans from Indonesia and Africa...I'm not so much into flavored coffees, but I like the way beans from various places around the world have such subtly different tastes.

    I started drinking coffee freshman year in high school, but then had to stop junior year because my anxiety was too bad and I had racing heart problems.

    You should probably also ask the follow up question: Did your parents drink coffee, because that probably effected if they started drinking coffee...it definitely did for me.

    I don't like coffee. Now sweet iced tea is a different story. It gives me the caffeine I need and is delicious. I was about 8 when I got my caffeine fix with tea.

    Mine never did...I think that gave it this kind of 'forbidden fruit' aspect, that made me all the more curious about it.
