First of all i suck at flirting or picking up guys or whatever. I am recently out of the closet, and looking for maybe a boyfriend. I work at a department store where i do alot of customer service. I have been told i am a cute before by female co-workers, ect. A few days ago i saw this cute young dude give me a soft smile. Out of my prerepheral vision, and saw him keep spinning around to "steal" glances and look up at me (i just acted like i didnt notice. Yesterday, a different guy (also really cute and had kind of a gay tinge to his voice, not that that matters), came up to me to show him where something was. About 10 minutes later i saw him around again. Out of my prerepheral vision i saw him looking at me with a light smile. He came up to me again and asked me to show him on my computer a whole product line of products. He kept moving in closer and closer and put his head really close to the screen i was pointing at. He also kept looking at my mouth almost the whole entire time. At the end of the conversation he shook my hand. Any ideas about what was going on? any advice? i am new to trying to pick up men and he seemed a little attracted to to me and it was exciting. No one would do that if i was ugly as hell, right? I don't know how i am viewed by other gay guys yet.
First guy reads like he was checking you out, unless you were standing in front of something really interesting. Second guy I can't really get a read on.
If you like someone, get their name and ask them some small chit chat question that is not related to your job. Also, don't act like you don't notice their looks, unless you're uninterested. You must be cute yourself to get this attention, so give them a smile. It will make their day, and maybe give them (or you) a little courage, too.

Next time, you could ask if the guy sees something on your lips. His reaction (maybe even blushing) will help reveal a lot.
i could kind of tell he was gay and in pickup mode and i suck at reading body language. usually a straight guy will say something like "my girlfriend loves this shit" when buying twilight lol I gave him my xbox live gamertag. I got a "hey". We played Call of Duty for a bit and he asked if i wanted to hang out
Oh no, I am the master at shooting myself in the foot when I see a guy I like start checking me out. It's scary how much I can force myself to act uninterested and completely ignore him. Good job davis! Giving your gamertag was a great idea since it's not overt.
What happened? Did you hang out? Don't second guess yourself. Be confident and just assume he likes you, either as a friend or something more.
