It's a balmy 56 degrees Fahrenheit outside and there's a 20-pound bag of ice in the additional freezer we have.

Oh wait, I'm in Texas

Lol, I was freezing my butt off in a sweatshirt while outside mowing the lawn XD.

Sorry to those lamenting dealing with ice and snow, but I can complement my jealousy of winter fun by rubbing the tropics in northerners' faces when it's not so nice.

I thought Florida was still in the sub tropics?

To the OPs question, it has not hit my part of Ontario yet, but I think it is coming soon. lol

Yesterday we got the worst of it, thankfully, as we just got back from my 354-mile drive, and while it was -6 this morning, the roads were finally clear by the time we got on the interstate. On the way to Flint at 7:00 this morning, I don't think I went over 55 the entire way there, and since I was following the moving van, we went between 60-65 for the whole 150-mile journey. Then traffic was so bad on the way back that after leaving at 1:45, we didn't get home until 4:50. But at least the roads were clear.

That said, even as a lifelong Michigander, I've known for a few years that I hated the cold and winter, but now I know for sure, I've had enough of this shit. Unfortunately, I've got probably another 3-5 winters ahead of me.

We missed out on the snow for this storm in WI. It's going to get COLD though. Forecast is for a low of -31 on Monday morning with a high of -17. I saw the word milder in the forecast... to describe 7 degrees.

Have fun with all the snow! I wish we were getting some.

We got some snow, and it's really cold with windchills making it feel like -1, but we're fine. They cancelled the school I work at today, so I didn't have to go out in it at all...

There's supposed to be a ruddy great big storm right the way across Britain this evening. But I've just peered out the window and the trees aren't even moving and there's no rain or snow.

    Worst. Storm. Ever.

I was directly in the middle of the worst part of if in eastern Massachusetts. We have power miraculously but I have 2 feet of snow and there was huge coastal flooding. I shoveled. A lot.

Freeze. It was -4*f this morning and later today when it warmed up to about 10*f my dad and I gathered some wood for the woodburner. When it actually get up around freezing I might try to bring some closer to the house but it just too cold I will go and get it as needed in wheelbarrow loads at a time.

We got maybe 3 inches here, not nearly enough.

I love snow, and love going out in it...makes things so much brighter and prettier.

If Michigan ever legalizes same sex marriage, I'm heading back. I really miss the nature, all the fresh water, and the snow and cold. Maryland is a nice state, but it's too hot for me in the summer, and we never have enough snow.

*says a prayer to the Norse gods and goddesses for them to blanket the entire US (even Florida) in 5 feet of snow*

We got like 5-6 inches of snow. Like a fool I bundled up and trekked through the snow driving on icy streets to get to work, only to find out when I got there that the office was closed due to the storm. :bang:

I don't mind snowstorms, as long as I don't have a reason to have to go out in them. (Regular storms, on the other hand, I hate and could totally live without. I hate rain, I hate thunder, I hate lightning, I hate scary strong winds that threaten to knock a tree into my house or break the power lines and force me to live without power.)

We got about 4 inches of snow on top of ice. Cars have been sliding like crazy. Next we will be getting below zero temps at night.

Ice, on the other hand, is evil. Nothing worse than freezing rain.
