I suppose it's fairly accurate. I sympathize most with the Green Party, and up until last year I was actually a registered member of the Green Party.

But unfortunately we are stuck with the two-party system, and I wanted to be able to vote in New York's closed primaries (only party members can vote in primaries), so I made the leap and changed my registration to the Democratic Party, which is at least my second choice. I have a better chance of actually influencing our politics as a Democrat than I did as a Green.

(I'll still vote Green in many election races where I dislike both major party candidates.)

I like this a lot more because it gives a lot more choices, and it also gives unbiased questions with opportunities to learn more about the issue.

    75% Democrats
    72% Greens
    69% Socialists
    15% Libertarians
    10% Republicans

About where I expected. Less government, less taxes, more freedom, no more experiments in nation building. Get out of my life and leave me alone. Quit sending me the bill for other people's bad choices.

I think the test isn't particularly accurate. It pegged me as agreeing with Democrats the most and Greens the second most, when I'm a proud Green Partier and consider Democrats to be only slightly better than Republicans.

The breakdown pissed me off even more. I side with Republicans and Libertarians on Immigrations? That's a load of horse shit if I ever saw one. Democrats on the Economy? Please. They cozy up to big business way too much for my tastes. I went through and read how I got pegged this way, and it was all about how I worded things. Who cares how I worded it? I'm a D instead of a G because I answered the question on the Cuba Embargo with a flat yes instead of embellishing? I'm a D and not a G because I answered Iran with Let's be diplomatic and discourage any bad stuff instead of We have no evidence of bad stuff? Since when are those two positions mutually exclusive. There were several other cases where I took the G side, but not with the "right" explanation for my answer.

I know it's just a dumb online test and I shouldn't let it effect my emotions at all, but I am really livid. I. Am. Not. A. Democrat.

If it makes you feel less mad it said the Green Party candidate Jill Stein is more agreeable to me than Obama.

Pretty much anyone on the left is more agreeable than a rightist like Obama. It didn't give me any candidates.

I retook the test as a control, emphasizing the G answers from the first take. I ended up even less G and more D. The thing's just plain wonky.

Yup, my main political siding is with the GOP. I side with the Democrats only on particular social issues like SSM.

I use to be a lot more towards the center, but I've been slowly going left as I get older.

I had to click choose another stance so many times. o_o Also, I'm slightly disturbed it knew my zip code. Considering every other website on the internet incorrectly says I'm about 300 miles away.

Not the results I was expecting. Apparently I'm quite far to the left, Lol.

    I side 61% with Socialist
