My new neighbor

I have a new neighbor,Edna and I don't like her so far including my partner Yasmine.She moved in Monday.She is a homophobe and believes homosexuality is illegal to her.She saw my partner Yasmine and I kissing on Tuesday night on the deck and said "yuck" out loud.I told her stay out of this and mind her buisness.I was running my 1977 Chevy Nova in the garage setting the timing on it at 8:00 at night,was last night and called the police on this.The police officer that came out said to her that the noise ordinance is 7:30am to 10:00 pm and he could not do anything about it.She was mad about it and stormed back in the house angry.I am not getting along with her and will probally never.

Yeah this is why i usually dont get to know my neighbors haha but yea idk just ignore her, she needs to get the stick out of her but and get into a relationship of her own xD

Yeah, just ignore her. My famly has really bad problems with our neighbors, and it sucks. So, just, ya know, give the cold shoulder .

I am doing that now and she still complains,called the police again this afternoon for a very stupid complaint for shooting my one of my shotguns which I had sand behind the target.The police officer told her not to call again.My neighbor Eddie whom I get along fine with hates her too,bitched at him for firing up his 2007 custom built motorcycle up at 7:30 last night and told her to get off his property calling her a bitch.She had a husband,divorced her for differances and the nagging.

Just remember NOT to be like her. Don't call her names, be completely civil. The police are already one your side anyways. Don't put yourself in a compromising position by yelling at her. She seems like one of the crazies who will think you're "threatening" her if you so much as raise your voice.

Just be civil and polite to her when you do talk to her, and otherwise, ignore her.

of course not,homosexuality is not illegal in Michigan.It is loud,My Chevy has loud pipes with a cherry bomb muffler that she hates the sound of.My neighbor Eddie's 2007 custom built motorcycle is loud too with loud pipes.which she hates,has loud pipes and loves the sound of the exhaust of my Chevy Nova.

Like Sean said, the cops seem to be on your side, for now. Don't give 'em a reason to think otherwise.

Be polite, you don't have to be her best friend or anything, or even say hi to her. Just don't insult her and do things to make her mad.

'Cause I'm kind of a cocky smart-ass, I'd do the exact opposite of my advice, and regret it later...don't be a cocky smart-ass like moi. It gets annoying, even to me sometimes .

These kinds of people are not worth your time. Ignore her as best as you can. Glad that you have some people on your side. Let her call the police as often as she likes. Don't let it bother you. Maybe that's her only hobby!

This reminds me of two women we had come speak at PFLAG. They are lesbians. Their neighbors didn't want two lesbians living in their neighbor and had actually joined forces to try to get them out. They decided instead of creating backlash, they would just be as nice to them as possible. They reached out to them whenever they could and eventually made friends with all the neighbors. Some of them even apoligized for the way they had acted and now ask them to house sit when they are away! So maybe the old grump just needs a little love. Maybe you and Yasmine just need to bake her some cookies and welcome her to the neighborhood.

I like my dad's car. fast and soft, sometimes my dad starts the car over again even when it is already started cuz it's that soft, u don;t even realise it's on.


I prefer to see performance than noise, not that i care but if ur gonna have noise u better have high performance. I know people who add it to their vehciles and their cars and trucks move as slow as a snail and some; u can only hear the sound...if u are lucky to see the car well ...ur lucky hahahahaha

where do you live anyway? I'm from Oakland County, so we have a mix of total homophobe farmer religious types and big city industrial allies. It's quite interesting actually.

All you can do is be civil to her. If she sees no reaction from you, she should stop.

Plus, the worst thing you can do to a bully is be nice to them.

I have been to michigan before, nice place...like....really....nice; i could tell i was no longer in a metropolitan area I went to see Jessica Simpson's concert at the casino owned by Native Americans.

Bailey's story is exactly the same for someone I know except... The lesbians (or gays whichever you prefer) are the bad neighbors. It's a crap shoot every time you move somewhere or when new people move in next door... Good luck ignoring the crappy neighbor.

Wow, all I can say is don't sin down to her level and be as nice as you can.

My neighbors are all quite nice, my little sister spends half of her time at one of our neighbors house, and she and her friend spend the other half at ours. We also have an elderly Chinese neighbor who loves to cook but often has leftovers so we have weekly "Ruby (her name) food" nights. We also have an elderly Italian neighbor who loves to garden and has adopted our greenhouse, he walks over and does our gardening nearly everyday. They are so amazing.

If the police told her not to call back again, they are probably beginning to hate her too. Like everyone has said, just don't give her a reason to hate you and you should be fine.
