Welcome to EC's Music Competition!

Would you like to win some EC merchandise? If so read on!

Below you will see a youtube video. Inside this video you will hear 11 brief songs which were chosen by EC staff. Each song represents the favorite song of one EC staff member. Your job is to not only identify the song and artist but also identify which staff member chose that song.

This is an example of what your answers should look like:
1 - Barbie Girl - Aqua - Behling

Your answers will be marked using the following points system:
Correct title = 1 point
Correct artist/band = 1 point
Correct moderator = 5 points

The winner will be the first person to answer all questions correctly, or the member with the most points at the end of the competition.

What is the prize?
If the winner answers all questions correctly or scores 30 points or above then they will win $30 (US Dollars) worth of EC merchandise of their choice from the EC shop. If the winner does not score 30 points then they will be able to choose $20 of EC merchandise.

Alternatively, if you are unable to receive EC merchandise then you may either pass the prize on to another member or request that the prize value be donated to a LGBT charity of your choice (as long as it can accept online credit card donations).

There is no cash alternative. Prize donated by Paul_UK.

The winner will be contacted shortly after the closing date by PM. He or she will then have 10 days to decide which goods they want or which charity the money should go to. If the winner does not decide or respond within that time the prize value will be donated via Becky to her local PFLAG chapter.

In the event of a tie the first winning entry received will receive the prize.

If you enter more than once your last entry will be counted and earlier entries will be deleted.

None of the EC staff will give you any clues, and you will not know how many points your entry obtained until after the competition is over.

The competition will close on Saturday 12th July at 18:00pm GMT time.

Please post all entries in Ask The Mods and name the thread "Music Competition".

Yep, I added it to my signature when the competition started, and my mood has been S-Club Party for ages. I thought I was giving you all a big clue but quite a few people missed it.

Becky has a couple of lines from hers in her signature too, which quite a lot of you picked up on.

Well the lowest scoring entry was 6 points.

I'm sure you would have done better than that.

There's 22 possible points for the titles & artists. Googling the lyrics would have helped with those!

The maximum possible score for everything right was 77 points.

Well I don't know if James posted this publically but I'm going to tell you because I think James is pretty darn awesome! I'm actually quite surprised noone got my song, particularly after me and Louise had a fierce argument over who got to have a chocolate bath with him, and after I said he had the voice I wanted most in the "which singer's voice would you want?" thread.

Heatqueen: A personal thanks for getting me into Celine, but not quite enough so that I picked the celine song.
