Anyone who thinks they're going to have a good Valentine's Day?

I absolutely hate valentines day. It takes any meaning out of gestures made on the day, and it's nothing more than a decadent display of commercialism and materialism.

 

I call it a "Hallmark holiday." Then again, if I had someone special, I'd milk the heck out of that day :lol:.

This will be the 23rd "party of one" Valentine's Day for me, but I'm not complaining.

 

Of course I'm going to have a good Valentine's Day. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is out that day.

 

Unless something drastically changes in the next few weeks, I'll do the usual single guy's Valentine's Day trifecta of drinking, self-loathing, and masturbating.

 

For me, Valentine's Day is just like any ordinary day. I never celebrate it. Maybe I'd be more enthusiastic about it if I had a lover, but I still don't see the point when any day could be a day for love. (Also, per Hexagon on the commercialism thing.)

 

Likely spending it alone like every year, just me and some Valentine's snacks while I listen to family and everyone talk about everything they've done/will be doing with their others.

 

This thread is kind of depressing.

 

I don't see why. Most people have plans. Danica94 is playing final fantasy. Biwinning is masturbating. I'll be doing what I love most, which is insulting society. All good.

 

This Valentine's Day i'll be single, for sure i'm spending it alone on my own missing some memories of past , missing someone .

 

Whether I've been single or attached, I've always enjoyed Valentine's Day. I'll be in a relationship but my boyfriend will be in a different country come Valentine's, but I'll find a way to enjoy it anyway.

 

Worst day of the year, I usually just forget about it. Why can't there be a single people day?

 

We are having a house party with loads of single people (and some couples), the kind of party that you never now how is going to end!

 

Well there is never love and crushes when it comes to me on Valentines Day soo...its just another day .

 

Valentine's day has always been a depressing time of year. I've always been single in February. This year, I will no doubt spend it wallowing on the couch, which is also my bed, and listening to How Soon Is Now on repeat. Or watching Harold Ramis movies from the '80s.

 

Valentine's Day is a nice, quiet time when almost everyone else has their someone special to be with and hence I'm left with my own company.

 

No because I'm alone and have no girlfriend to share it with and I was looking at teddy bears thinking I wish I could give a bear to my girlfriend if only I had one .

 

Actually...there is a say for single people celebrated on the same day, its called single awareness day (S.A.D) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singles_Awareness_Day

 

I used to celebrate SAD but now I'm going out with someone for the first time on Valentines in ever.

Yay!

 

It'll be Friday, so I'll get drunk with my single friend or maybe I won't be single, maybe I'll finally find partner.
