From a school teacher, I've got the contact details of a 15 year old girl in France who wants to have an exchange with a British girl this July. My Mum is emailing her right now!

I really hope that this will come through - I've wanted an exchange for ages and this girl sounds really nice. Plus, I have this funny feeling like it's fate - no, hear me out - because yesterday, I was thinking about her and I thought "Wouldn't it be so cute if she was called Cecile?" and guess what her name is? Cecile!

:icon_bigg So. Me is happy right now. (!)

PS: I've been away for a week on holiday so that's why I haven't been posting.

    That's awesome! How exciting!

My friend just found out she'll be doing an exchange year in Lyon next year. France is the place to be, it seems.

You'll have tons of fun. I've done two French exchanges and have no regrets at all. It's also pretty cool to experience a somewhat different culture for a while. Oh, their bread is absolute GOD, don't kill yourself by eating too much. XD

    Awesome !

Do you speak French now? Ça doit être un peu plus facile pour vous si vous parlez déjà un peu de français, mais si non, ce n'est pas une problème non plus. Moi, je n'ai pas parlé français du tout quand je suis arrivé en Belgique, mais maintenant... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I went on exchange to Belgium for a year and I didn't regret anything about it (except a guy from my class kissed me after he had had a bit too much to drink at the farewell kind of party :\)

Normandy is a beautiful region too, and because you're in England, it's not too far from home either ^_^

    I say, DO IT!

I wanted a French exchange this summer. But.. no room considering I live in a 2-room apartment.
Next year, I'm so getting my friends to host haha (hopefully, it's a guy)

Yeah, I can't wait. I've only been to France once before, and I already speak good intermediate level French. I really really hope it happens.

Translation: She has just replied, saying that she wants to visit me at the end of July! w000000t I love life!

Hahahah, I looked in the COC... nothing says you have to post in English, but it does help if you want people to understand  That is great news, you will be talking French like a native in not time. :icon_bigg
