I like writing. I have 2 ideas for a novel. (Not giving many details,I don't trust the internet that much) 1-This story is pretty groosome at the beggining. It is the sotry of an unborn baby in a fantasy world,his/her mother gets killed,he becomes a ghost and grows up... he will eventualy get his revenge. (The story is much more complex than this) 2-It is the story of an independent secretive organization that fights big Coorporations. Within this agency there is this girl that has been trained as a hitman (women) The story is about her tryng to kill 12 of the most unethical CEOs from the 2080s along with their companies... This is just a question of wich direction I should go fantasy/mystery or action/sci-fi
Story 2...but the twist is her secret organisation was her universe's equivalent of Monsanto and she's just knocked out ALL their competition...
fictional horror, you can make anything happen you like and don't have to worry about facts. or a romance loosely based on your life.
I didn't want the first story to be a horror sotry, more like a fantasy story experienced by a ghost, that might eventualy change to physical form, but a the beggining it sure sound like horror.
I would go with story one. I do love my assassinations and espionage, but I haven't read a fantasy story surrounding a ghost/dead main character and would be interested in how that would play out. Good luck, either way.
I'd pick the one you like less. From my experience and the advice of many authors, your first book is going to be a pile of utter garbage. I can only think of two authors whose first book was any good. The first book (and sometimes the first five) were more akin to practice than to something to be proud of. The important thing is, if you want to be an author, do not give up. Ray Bradbury didn't get any recognition until he wrote 451, and now he is one of the science -fiction gods.
Even if it's not horror, it still sounds really cool. Also, don't pick the story you like less. As a writer myself, I know that if you don't treat everyone of your stories like it will be the best thing you've ever written, and if you don't absolutely love the story and really want to write it, then it will be a waste of time and won't turn out good at all. They both sound good though, so write one of them, and then even if you have to put the other one on the backburner for a while, come back and consider writing the other one later.
I'd say the first one, but that's just because its my preferred genre. The other story sounds great too.
Id say story 1, mainly because i think story 2 could be slow to begin with, setting the scene etc. Whereas story 1 can have a great descriptive scene to open it and grab the reader, and explain the rest later. Just how i used to write at school
Story 1 sounds a lot more original and interesting. However, I do strongly recommend that you spell "gruesome" and "story" right in the final draft.
No 1 for sure. No 2 sounds too much like the revenge series (Luuuuuv Victoria Grayson, such a bitch). No 1 can be written to keep people guessing all the time.
