Age you started drinking alcohol?

Sixteen, but always at home with parents. Usually a glass of wine, maybe chilled White Zinfandel in the summer, but never at parties. I also cook sometimes with recipes that use wine so I usually drink a glass while cooking but that's it. Because of that, alcohol isn't something that was "special" when growing up.

I also chuckle whenever I see teenagers who view drinking alcohol as a sign of their maturity because I don't equate the ability to drink alcohol as a sign of maturity, coming-of-age, or being an adult.

 

Around 17, which was actually relatively late among my brought circle of peers.

 

18. When I got to college I decided I'd have a drink once in a blue moon, and we did drink a little tonight. One drink was enough for both of us. No need to be irresponsible.

I have a glass of wine every now and then, just as a once in a while thing. I can't drink a lot without getting ill

To be honest I was about 3. I got into the brandy a little early. My siblings and I drank and entire barrel of Apple Cider Brandy. To my defense my Uncle did say it was Apple Cider, but neglected to mention the Brandy part

 

18? I'd had samples up until then but didn't like the taste.

Have a thing for Irish creme though.

Properly, I'd say fifteen, and I was just as responsible about it as I am now. Although, my parents let me sip wine at the dinner table when I was a child, which honestly isn't an uncommon practice considering the culture I grew up in.

 

Non-drinker. I've tried alcohol before, but I have no interest in it and detest drunkenness with a passion.

 

16, but that was late by my friends standards but yeah getting drunk with friends or at a party is like so much fun.

Well I would have beers every so often at college (age 18-19), but I never got like seriously drunk until age 20 when I went to Europe. The initial excitement wears off though, I no longer find alcohol particularly desirable, though I still drink occasionally.

13ish. I tasted when I was younger. But I had a no drinking phase for a couple of years as well. But that was in spain, the land of doing whatever the hell you want in that regard. I never got carded. I'm not even sure what the drinking age was in bars. Think it may have been sixteen. Now days, I drink every so often with friends.
