Hugs, anyone?

    Here's a random question for everybody:

    When was the last time you gave someone [who is not your significant other/partner] a hug? When was the last time you receive one?

    Mine was 4 days ago. I met up with an old friend and before we said our goodbyes, we hugged and told each other how much we missed talking/hanging out. He is a proud gay guy as well and we hugged in the middle of a busy street. LOL. I think its pretty sweet even though we got quiet a few stares from people. Manila is still a little conservative when it comes to public displays of affection. But who cares...love is love and friendship knows no limits.

    I am curious to hear yours.

    Yesterday actually. I've been having a shitty few days and was venting to my labmate about it (she's the one person here who I'm out to). She asked me if I needed a hug and I said "yes absolutely."

    I miss hugs, hugging your friends is not that common here in the UK. Last time i gave a hug was some weeks ago (I won't give details though hahaha)

    I hugged my mom sometime last week. I think it was the 25th.
    Usually my mom is the only person I hug--oh, and my cousin is another person.

    I give and get hugs at work all the time. I'm a nurse aide on an dementia care unit and some of the ladies back there seem to only calm down with a hug.

    My mom and dad last weekend for the first time the saw me in almost 2 months.

    Also when my friend came back we shook hands and did the bro hug.

    Yesterday, a friend of mine came to campus to visit ans we spent around 6 hours hanging out, it was a good time. I usually get one every couple of days from a friend of mine who is very touchy feely but not in a bad way.

    ... I try to avoid hugs, *not touchy feely person* but people love to give me hugs AND PICK ME UP so about 1 week ago I geuss - some guy hugged me and made me feel awkward lol!-

    I don't like to do it with anyone I'm not dating. I dont have any problem being touched but anytime a family member or friend expects me to hug them im like Blah get out

    I love reading your stories! I love giving/receiving hugs from people. Its a free therapeutic gesture, if that makes any sense. LOL. But I do understand that some people are not naturally as touchy-feely like most people.
