My favorite food is disgusting

    So, today is the Superbowl. To me that means one thing and one thing only. Skyline Chili! It is my favorite food and I love it, but many people think it is the most disgusting thing in the world.

    For those not in the greater Cincinnati area, I will explain what Skyline Chili is. First of all, it isn't chili. It's more of a really thick meat-based Greek sauce, so it tastes more like a gyro than normal chili. Traditionally it is served with cheese and on top of spaghetti, but it is also eaten on top of hotdogs or in burritos &c.

    I think most people don't like it because they expect chili and when something completely different enters their mouth... I once gagged on water because I was certain it was a glass of milk. Anyway, are there any foods you love that everybody else seems to hate?

    Hahaha I enjoy Cincinnati chili although having lived in the Southwest before I moved here I don't actually consider it to be true chili.

    Umm I can't say I like any weird foods necessarily, but a lot of people can't get their heads around the fact that I drink soda first thing in the morning. That's how I get my caffeine.

    Spam, all my non-Asian friends think it's the grossest thing ever when it's really not. It tastes amazing plus it's easy to cook, and it's cheap. What's not to love about it?!

    I am into weird cheeses with weird toppings like Camenbert with caramalised apples topping... most of my friends find it disgusting... but I pity them because they dont know what they are missing.

    I like pretty much every food I've tried, though Sauerkraut makes me gag.

    I like Kimchi, though, and many people leave the room just due to the odor.

    Umm, I like beef tongue tacos, which not everyone is too keen on.
    Also, avocado smoothies. Some find the sweetness strange.

    I love Skyline chili.

    A lot of people are weirded out by my favorite food too. I like heart, especially deer and chicken heart. I eat most game meat, including beaver and raccoon. I haven't been able to decided which one is the strangest. I also like canned sardines, but sometimes those can be a bit challenging to eat, once I start thinking about it.

    Green olives. Whenever I go to family reunions, there's always a veggie tray with green olives. Everyone thinks they taste funny except me, so I get to eat all of them. ^.^ They're definitely one of my favorite foods.

    It's not really weird but allot of people I know hate it. I'm obsessed with guacamole (and avocado in general). I never get sick of it, it's just sooooo good :grin: I like tofu too (I'm vegan so it's kind of a given), which I know allot of people wouldn't touch haha.

    One of the things I love about living in Cincinnati is the Skyline Chili! (Sometime I feel like it's the only exciting thing this area has besides Kings Island Amusement Park xD)

    Baby food is probably the biggest one. I love baby food. I eat grown-up food, too, but baby food is a nice, nutritious, portion-controlled snack for me. I also love sauerkraut and wieners, which everyone seems to think is absolutely disgusting. Curly fries with tartar sauce is something else I love that everyone thinks is nasty except this one guy I work with who also enjoys it.
