I'm so happy for him. Is he really writing a book? I totally can't wait to read it. I hope that it's more about his life than just his pregnancy, but I'm expecting it to be mostly about his pregnancy, which will still be fascinating. <3 Give him some love for me.
Great news! I can't help but hope that the media lets off him for a bit. I could imagine he could really use some privacy at this point.
me and pirate ninja just had an... incident with our classmate. she was all like "its weird" and i was like "you just dont like it cus its different, stop being prejudiced", but she said "so, im prejudiced, i dont care"... so maybe it was a bit of a lost cause. however i think we won cus she walked off eventually... i played the case of the 70 year old woman who just gave birth.. but who she didnt have a problem with... Her: "but she has ovaries" Me and pirateninja: "so does Thomas Beatie!!!" Her: "yeah but... urgh!!!" *walks off* and yay so happy the birth went ok

Thomas had a masectomy which was the only permament sex change surgery. (he won't be able to breastfeed) He took testerosterone for years but stopped before he conceived the first time. That pregnancy ended because it was a tubal pregnancy and that fallopian tube had to be removed making pregnancy difficult with only one fallopian tube. He still had a vagina, ovaries, and all the female baby making parts. However, he said in his Oprah interview that the testestone had made his clitoris grow resembling a small penis which enabled he and Nancy to have intercourse. He was impregnanted by using his eggs and a sperm donor. Nancy used a shyringe to insert the sperm into Thomas impregnating him. I hope that explains everything.
I try to avoid talking about this with my family because they are pretty prejudiced about transgender people. My mum just says this proves that he's still a woman, and that it's a "gimmick". My parents are the kind of people who are happy to be liberal when the wind is swinging that way, but when things start actually getting unusual/not widely accepted yet, they shy away. Oh well.
