    Hey friends,
I just wondered, how frequent is for an LGBT person to also be racist, or have any sort of hate for a certain group like ethnicity ?

Racism and prejudice exist among every group of people. I've met some racist gay guys before.

Everyone's a little bit racist sometimes. Doesn't mean we go around committing hate crimes.

    I've met a couple.
Even had one girl tell me. "Colored girls just don't do it for me"

I dont think everyone is racist. Racism is different from cultural arrogance or even prejudice. It stems form the belief that a particular group of people are genetically inferior.

There is a difference between disliking aspect of a culture and thinking everyone of a particular race is beneath you.

I used to know a gay guy whom I was very good friends with at one point that ended up admitting to me one night how much he hated Jewish people.

I imagine the frequency of racism within the LBGTQ community is similar to that of larger society, which means that it's actually fairly racist. I've heard from a number of sources that POC often don't feel comfortable in the white LBGTQ community for precisely this reason. I do suspect that overt racism is less common because in general LBGTQ people skew toward the liberal end of the spectrum, but casual racism (e.g. microaggressions) is probably no less common.

Well I was thinking more about "unreasonable hate" for a person based on a title he has.

Like others mentioned, that it seems to exist...
that why I don't understand - how does those racist people justify it ?
they know how hard is being gay - ppl hate u just because of that title ... why do they do it for others ?

If religions are races.... But I hate the religions themselves,I do note blame religious people for being religious because most of them were brought up to be religious.

I hate religion but I will fight for freedom of religion any time.

LGBTQ's are absolutely no less racist than any other social group.

Well there are LGBTQ people who are Mississippi residents so...
And I'm sure most Mississippi residents aren't racist anyway.

I have my racial prejudices, but I wouldn't say I hate anybody for it. A sensible person has to acknowledge that ethnic background alone has no effect on somebody's worth.

I haven't experienced anything in life so far to lead me to believe any group of humanity is any better/worse off in terms of racist/sexist/bigot/homophobic attitudes than any other. There are bad apples in every crowd, always have been, always will be. How do we as individuals respond to the people with negative attitudes based on superficial attributes? Ignore them and let them move on to another target? Confront the ignorance? Ostracise them from the group? Try to draw them out to understand why they have these attitudes and then try to help them change? I guess it depends on each of us as individuals and how comfortable we are in our own personhood to deal with negativity.

Mississippians are a geographical or demographical group. (Americans, Californians, Canadians, etc.)

A social group is a group within the concept of human society. (Men, women, children, LGBTQ's, etc.)
