Has anything ironic ever happened in your life? For example when I was little said I'll never understand or do sign language and now I love sign language. What ironic things happened in your life?

I'm Australian and I can't stand the heat.

    I'm (ethnically) half-Irish and I never burn.

    I'm half-Finnish and I can't stand cold.

I don't want people to think I'm straight or going through a phase, but I also don't like people noticing me check out girls. So I avoid checking out girls. That kind of erases all the "proof" that I have.

In school I hated to perform sing/speak in front of the class and was a big introvert. Now I sing and speak in front of many people because it is needed in my career.

This! And largely (but not completely) politically conservative as well. Talk about painting a target on your back....

And, I'm very much an introvert who feels very awkward dealing with people socially--but I'm completely at ease singing in front of people in church, playing the organ/piano, and giving presentations at work (providing I'm VERY familiar with the subject matter).

For me, when I came out, I found out there were plenty of ironies in my life.

I was homophobic and I supported straight therapy, and now... and now I'm gay :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I was the most independent person that you could ever think of, now I'm needy, weak and clingy.

I used to hate stuffed animals when I was young, I cannot function without bringing it to school with me.

I used to hate wearing tight clothing... now I'm wearing size L (which is not too tight because I lost weight).

I used to be the bully type of character (without the actual bullying), scary and very able at mental torture. Now my friends can bully me just by mention of a name. (fuck it when your friends find out who you love >_<)

Well, my favorite movie is Phantom Of The Opera (yet I hate love stories, there's one ironic thing), and my friends in theater decided to make me the official phantom of our school's auditorium. So my job is to haunt the theater. No big deal, until I fell for a girl named Kristy... a name that's really close to Christine...

... I probably just botched the definition of irony but you know what it's a funny story...

I have a phobia of mobile/cell phones and I can use landline/office phones no problem. I can pick up a mobile/cell phone and fix any problems on it (while feeling uneasy) but I can't use it for calls or I freak out big time. Closest to irony I can think of.

Also I used to believe LGBT was impossible, I didn't know the words for it but I was... seriously ignorant before age 15.
