It says my ideal dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

It's wrong because my ideal dog is a Pit bull, and I know this already!

    Black and tan Coonhound

I'd say I was more a Golden Retriever or Labrador person, but the Coonhound is a 99% match  I didn't even know such a breed existed! :icon_redf

My recommendations are foxhounds or setters for my current climate. My favorite dog is a malamute, but they are not comfortable in hot weather. When I move to the UK, however, it would be the perfect breed. I'll probably wait until after I get situated in Britain to get a dog, because moving internationally with an animal is a royal pain, as is having a dog while in undergraduate school.

    Australian Terrier 98% match

The Australian terrier is small, sturdy and medium-boned; it is long in proportion to height. This is a working terrier that should exhibit a ground-covering gait and hard condition. Its weatherproof coat is made up of a short, soft undercoat and a harsh, straight, outer coat, about 2.5 inches long, shorter on the tail and lower legs. It sports a ruff around the neck and a topknot of longer hair adds to its keen, intelligent expression. Learn more!

Mine is a Collie (98% match)

The collie is an active, lithe, strong dog that combines strength, speed and grace. Its gait suggests effortless speed as well as the ability to change speed and direction instantly, as required in herding dogs.

But I would like to have a Husky/Alaskan Malamute or a German Sheppard.

My 'ideal' dog is the Airedale Terrier (100% match), which originates from my part of the world, surprisingly enough. I've never consider them before though.

I already have a dog - a pug. They're not very active dogs though, can't walk very far and you can forget running with them. Very playful and loving though. My pug is around 8, has grey whiskers but is still as playful as ever.

    This one.

Reminds me of Google's "wet dog"...

Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, 99% match
A correctly proportioned PBGV is about 50 percent
longer than it is tall, enabling it to push its way through
dense thickets. It has strong bone and is surprisingly
nimble. The gait is free, giving the appearance of a dog
that is capable of a full day in the field. The tousled
appearance results in part from its rough coat, with long
facial furnishings. This, in combination with its thick,
shorter undercoat, gives the PBGV ample protection
against brambles and the elements. Its expression -
alert and friendly - reflects its nature.

Either one that's really big or really small, so like either a pug or a husky. In my current living arrangements though, probably a pug.

I came up with an Akita. The funny thing is that I adopted one by pure chance about 10 years ago his previous owner took him to the vet to get treated for mange then they abandoned him. (the vet said i could have him as long as he didn't have to pay to feed him anymore) He was my all time favorite dog...until my ex-wife gave him away (never forgave her).

My match is the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I'd be good with that, as I'd love a dog that would want to swim.

    [IMG]Silky Terrier 93% match
The silky terrier is a miniature version of a working terrier, and as such retains the essential features of a vermin hunter. It is somewhat longer than tall, and though of refined bone, it should nonetheless have sufficient strength and substance to suggest that it could kill small rodents. The gait is free and light-footed; the expression is piercingly keen. The straight, single coat is silky and glossy, following the body outline rather than falling to the floor

Apparently this dog is great for people like me who are lazy and can't spend time with it. I had a small dog like this for two days once. Loved him, but I was traveling a lot and my partner wasnt sure she could deal with him alone. He was a sweetie, but not too needy.
