OK, just for fun, suppose we could get rid of five US states by selling them to Canada. (non-US residents feel free to chime is as well!)

What five would top your list?

    Here's mine:

    1. Texas. Bam, suddenly there's far, far fewer Republicans in the house...among other benefits.
    2. Kansas
    3. Nebraska
    4. Mississippi
    5. Oklaholma

California, Washington, Nevada, Alaska, and Hawaii are my choices. Canada suddenly became a lot more fun for me...

As a newly minted Canadian thanks to HuskyPup, I'll sell Maryland (just for you, HuskyPup :lol:slight_smile:, Utah, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. I actually like all 50 states and would never sell a damn one.

Though, to be honest, I'd rather buy Canada. Manifest Destiny, from sea to shinin' sea and to the Arctic Circle.

    Lets see...
    1. California
    2. New York
Because they seem to come up with alot of stupid ideas that other states adopt ie. I cannot smoke in a restaurant anymore.
    Then...
    3. Texas
    4. Alabama
    5. Kentucky

Just because those states have their own special breed of redneck... I mean really you guys make those of us from Arkansas feel good. lol

I would get rid of mine so I could live somewhere else. Unless I got nebraska or kansas or something. Actually all of central USA can go, nothing personal to them but I've always been a ocean kinda guy. Plus we lose the bible belt =D

    1: Alabama (rednecks, rednecks EVERYWHERE)
2: Kansas (home of the Westboro Baptist Church, need I say more?)
3: Texas (all of those goddamn social conservatives)
    4: Kentucky (more freaking rednecks)
5: Florida (I lived in Florida for 6 months with my birth father in an atempt to go to public high school and to stop being reffered to as a freak for being homeschooled. I only got to go to school for 2 months, the school and my Phillipino step-cousin where the only things that kept me from going insane. The people there all wear shorts so short that you can see their asses hanging out, and they gave me nothing but hell for being a Georgia Peach. There were some parts of Florida that were beautiful, but the trashy rednecks ruined that for me.)

I would sell California and whichever four would be the most useful. I live in California, and I presume being sold to Canada means Canadian citizenship for me. I have no objection to this.

I would find a way to give every person the question "If you could, what five states would you kick out of the union?," and then kick out the five states with the highest response rates to the question.

(I just realized that's rather ambiguous - I mean kick out the five states with the highest percentage of people who agreed to answer the question, not the states that got cited the most).

Although I do like the Canadian citizenship idea... if that can be ensured, throw Washington state in there.

Make sure Michigan goes to Canada for obvious reasons.

Nah, I'd rather Michigan became its own country...a whole country full of "Michiganers"
