Are you ready for single awareness day (sad)? I'm gonna go home and cry while eating chocolate and cry some more. What are your plans?

Don't feel sad Andstillimhere7. Instead celebrate the freedom in not having to participate in the bullshit capitalist exercise that is Valentine's day, designed to pump cash from the pocket of coupled up consumers.

I for one, will raise a glass to Single Awareness Day.

I've been ready for this day every year for the past 6 years, assuming most people start dating and forming relationships around the age of 14.

My plan is to hunt for discounted post-Valentines Day candy from various local stores. Woohoo

I'm certainly ready! I'll be toasting the momentous occasion with a glass of my dear friend, the esteemed Captain Morgan

Never agreed with the term single awareness day. I think there's too much pity for single peeps on valentine's day when there doesn't need to be. I'm single and I'll be enjoying the day like I normally do and showing love to my family and friends- my real valentines on that day.

If your single use V-day to celebrate the other loves in your life like family and friends or my personal favorite my pal Netflix we've spent the past few valentines together and they have been glorious ;-)

I assume that's our Single's name for the cursed V-Day.

I'm single been single since my last year of high school, so I have the V-Day bah hum bugs,
    not going to cry,
    will eat chocolate, lol,
will be grouchy and unhappy that I'm single,
and then the sugar will make me crash and I will sleep like a angry lion who wore it's self out. lol

I got a crush on some one,
but where both too shy to really talk to each other, and I know she's single but, I am afraid she won't like me or reject me so I haven't tried to tell her how I feel, I hate being so socially anxious.

I guess. Usually I don't make plans for valentines day, however this year I decided to make plans to go to dinner with one of my friends. It should make the whole single thing less depressing. Lol.

    I celebrate those every day,
    and on Thanks-Giving,

we lonely single types need romance....possibly sex but that comes much later after a friendship that might lead to romance...sighs..yet when your shy as hell making new friends is hard, so making new close friends and opening up is super hard, so dating is like nearly impossible.

    I hate being shy.

I love the post-holiday price reductions that take place. Probably one of the better things about holidays.

An Anti-V-Day dinner sounds like it would be cool. lol
Wish my college would do that. lol
I would find another Romantic-Pessimist and try to hit on them. lol

    I would try that,
problem is each of my friends know I'm bi, they might get a bit confused, especially the Autistic furry, and the Autistic straight goof.

the third one I am a bit confused as to whether I like him as a friend or if I desire him as some thing else..so I couldn't eat a dinner alone with him it would be a bit awkward...

Still a good idea, if only I had more friends.

Well my school is doing a dance and all my straight friends will be hitting on girls the entire night and I will be sitting back laughing (and crying because I'm lonely)
