Thread for people still in high school

I can't wait to be done with high school. One and half years left!

 

Yes finally a thread where I can rant about all that silly high school drama. Oh do I have stories.

High five! We are almost done!

 

Finally! Now I can unleash my old dude wisdom (ok so I'm not that old) and tell all you high school folk that High School is the BEST time in your life. Without a doubt. Cherish it guys and gals! Believe me you will miss it. There isn't a day gone by since I was about 18 years old that I didn't wish I could go back to high school. Seriously. Embrace it and make the most of it.

I'm not saying high school doesn't suck at times. I got bullied in school and I ended up bullying people as a result of it. However I still regret the fact I didn't fully apply myself, I didn't leave with the grades I could have to make the most of my early adulthood. Don't waste it. You get out of school what you put in, milk it for all it's worth and it will pay you back.

 

for me my life has gotten way harder since I started hs . but what more can go wrong when you are trans,dyslexic and have add (my former doctor said i have it but i dont think i do)

 

I enjoy learning and going to school, its the people that bother me.

I feel you. I thought it was going to be great but nope. I have to deal with panic disorder, social anxiety, depression, and fainting. Not to mention the looks from people for not wearing the "right" clothing and looking like everyone else.

 

Of course I can't comment on all the aspects of high school that will be different for someone who is openly gay, trans or whatever the case may be. I'm certain your experiences are all different from mine. I was 100% straight in high school. I didn't openly mess about with guys till I was about 17, already out of high school where I come from.

However people suck, no matter your circumstances. That I do understand. There's always someone or some group of people who make life hell for you in high school, unless you're very lucky. All I would say is, try and focus on the school work, get through it as best you can and apply yourself fully. And try and take from it what positive experiences you can, I personally hope you do have many of those.

 

High school senior over here! I wear my class ring not in the traditional jock sense of school pride, but in the sense of accomplishment that I have almost made it through these roller coaster years. I really learned a lot about my self these past couple of years.

 

One more semester. Then college. Then real life. I'm tired just typing this.

 

Good luck I bailed on high school when I turned 16 so I don't have any education beyond that. I'm more of a work/life experienced person, which isn't necessarily bad but it doesn't mean college isn't worth it.
