I am writing a speech on the media and news sources and i need some idea of the popularity and the use of media sources generally, so all are welcome to contribute and if you can please specify what type you get it from e.g The Times, BBC, etc.

Personally i get the news from the internet and [broadsheet] newspapers (tabloids are rubbish).

    Thanks

Sky news, BBC 1. No time for reading news papers and anyway they are all in French.

Local News Channel. KOMO 4. Like Louise said, I don't have much time to read newspapers, and if I do, I just scan it, so I don't really get the full story.

I skim the newspaper nearly every day (The Advertiser), and usually watch the news on TV most nights (usually on Channel ABC, however sometimes on Channel 7,9 and 10...My dad is obsessed with the news and goes from one channel to another watching it, even though they usually have the same stories)

    I use bbc.co.uk generally.

  11. The local and national news, and usually the BBC website is pretty good.

Usually by word of mouth. Someone might bring something up here for instance and then I'll look into it deeper if it is something of interest to me.

Slashdot and Digg keep me fairly up-to-date although they are more like news aggregators than sources.

I also read the local paper when I have time... Usually on my lunch break at work.

The BBC News website (news.bbc.co.uk) mainly, plus whatever I hear on BBC local radio in the car.

If I want more info on a news story I will use the news search on Google and look at whatever stories it finds (regardless of the source).

The O'Reilly Factor! Just kidding... I get my news from Youtube's Phil Defranco and other independent places.
