Lately, I've been hearing about this term a lot. Can anyone please explain what it is and what are it's differences between the other terms? All the definitions that I've found on the internet have been contradicting each other... -"Cisgender means that your gender expression matches what is typically associated with your physical sex" -"an adjective describing how someone can physically be male, but mentally is a natural girl, or vice versa" -"The opposite of transgendered, someone who is cisgendered has a gender identity that agrees with their societally recognised sex."
So cis and trans are two sides of the same coin. I'm transgender, which means that my birth gender and my actual gender don't match. I was born male, but I'm female. You are cisgender, which means you were born male and you identify as male. The first and the last definitions you've found are fine, I don't know where you found the second one by that describes someone who is transgender!
