Sure he's pro-gay and put a watered-down health care in place, but what else makes him different?

As far as I'm concerned 98% of everything he has done has been a continuation or extention of Bush's corporate, security, and international policies.

Give me a reason to trust him because I fell for him in 2009 and would of voted for him back then if I was a US citizen.

I feel the same, I thought he is "different" from anything else we seen so far but from what I understand talking with someone from the USA, he isn't that different ... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Edit: Was not old enough in 2008...thought he was elected in 2009 for some reason, oh well. : 3

He's much better on foreign policy than Bush was.

Don't feel bad I don't care much for him either. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

He lost me with drone strikes and the NSA, plus last I checked Gitmo is still open.

How? He made Bush drone program a ton larger.

he's more "open" about his campaign I guess? I mean with Obama you can write the white house, start a petition, and he's more out and about in the public.
I met him back when I was 24 doing a military & Green Technology expo in the mall in DC, he came off as a really nice guy all around

    Right from reason 1...

#1: Bush started Iraq/afghanistan wars, Obama ended them.

1/2 true, but it neglects to mention almost tossing us headfirst into war in Syria. So really to me that's a dead point.

#10: Bush relied on Military force, Obama relies on Diplomacy.

I guess drones aren't considered military.

Under Bush, our allies went from being our friends to hating us, and Bush didn't care. IMOO, this is the biggest difference:

There are still a lot of countries who don't care much for us.

I will give Obama points for the way he's been dealing with Iran. I'd love to see a peace agreement be reached ^^

#1: 2 real wars vs one that never happened (but was more likely to happen under Bush/Cheney) - I'll take that as a BIG difference.

#10: Drones are military. It is a quite different military though.

    98 left to go

How about that Bush nearly tripled the deficit and Obama about cut it in half?

Ok a bunch of those seem legit, but a lot of them seem a bit biased. Such as being transparent... I just don't see that.

He forced the insurance companies into not being so shitty. Children are now covered till they're 26 and insurance companies can no longer deny coverage/to take you on due to pre-existing conditions.

While millions of college students had their plans cancelled and even more adults cant afford insurance through the exchange. If only they had read this bill before passing it...

Obama is not very different from Bush. As an IT guy the whole thing about the spying upsets me.

Things are never gonna be perfect, leaders are always going to have major faults and there's always going to be discrimination. Obama represents a strong step in the right direction for America for a number of reasons.

Also, "Sure he's pro-gay" isn't negligible you know, that's fucking huge.

I suspect the plans were sub-par to begin with. My step-sister had insurance that was bought via the college. Her's wasn't canceled.

The fact of the matter is that most insurance companies suck.

Also, I'd like proof of your claim that "millions of college students had their plans cancelled". I only found an instance of two schools doing it. Fox News or anything related to fox news doesn't count.
