| Guest Posts: n/a | I just want to put this thread on to let people tell us who they considers as the most "influential" political or historical figures. You can name as many people as you I will start with Codenlizza Rice the secrateray of State. It is not because she is secretary of state , It is because she is an Intellectual woman. I am fascinated by her knowledge and she represent what we call Intelligencia. Condi is a role model for me . Barack Obama. I dont want to elaborate on him for respect to John Mccain suppoters Francois Mitterand the late french president . Margeritt tchatcher former british prime minister Rene Descates French Philosophe and mathematician John Paul the second ( the late pope) Larry King , yes I think is an historical figure . John F. Kennedy Victor Hugo French novelist Martin luther King Jr I rather stop here Last edited by bitou; 13th Jul 2008 at 02:53 PM.. |

She showed women and minorities how far someone can get when they believe in it and that sexism is slowly dying out. Hillary Clinton is one of the greatest political figures the United States has today.

| Guest Posts: n/a | Well , I will go with Staline even though is was a committing a lot of crime. I m only impress by the way he rebuilt the soviet Union. The reconstruction of the soviet Union after the end of the revolution in 1917 is the most fascination part of the soviet history. The way Staline put back the country on track with is famous plan called " the 5 steps plan" |

He was incredibly influential in the development of our current political/societal structure (social contract and whatnot). He had a huge hand in developing democracy as we know it. Adam Smith, considered the father of capitalism. I don't really think I need to elaborate. Karl Marx/Freidrich Engels, for the development of communism. |

I realized after my research on Wikipedia that like, the majority of gay rights activity was in Germany by Germans. W00t. But the most influential... Hmm... Einstein definitely, and Martin Luther King Jr. But then again, if they never did what they did, SOMEONE would have. At least in my opinion. But they're still definitely influential.
