I ran into this article on Buzzfeed and thought it was hilarious. The GIF's that go along with them are pretty much my reactions too. 20 Things Gay Guys Are Sick Of Hearing
Number 1 on that list is one I've heard the most, probably. This girl I was friends with would just start introducing me to people like "This is my gay best friend, Timm. He's gay." It got annoying pretty fast.
The effect of the Obama gif was lost with the appearance of the president batting his eyelashes to someone offscreen. *_* But, yeah. Loved the article.
If people react happy after I come out I don't blame them for that, they are just happy to have this guy friend who also likes some girl things and I don't blame them And I laugh really hard if they ask questions that are just too stupid but well I don't care about it hahaha
I can imagine the "gay bff" thing getting super annoying. I heard it enough from other girls...makes them seem more like an object or accessory rather than a person. I don't go "this is my straight friend" lol.
#14 made my day And I'm sure #1 can get very annoying for gay people, but I'm bi so the girls who I've told don't say that (they don't actually say much anyway, they just accepted it and kept quiet.).
Definitely. Any girl looking for a potential shopping buddy in me is going to be sorely disappointed. I'm not going to braid your hair or bleach your mustache, either.
I am a gay bff to a lot of girls but they just treat me like their best friend not like a accessory. They just say it to tease me a bit but they all know I can laugh about it and seriously being the gay bff of a girl gives you to best inside information
My main one these days has being told I'm 'locked into a binary sexuality'...though this could apply to straight people as well, possibly others. I'm not 'locked into' any sexuality, I just am who I am. I get so sick of hearing this, and similar phrases.
Some of those amused me. Though personally I've never taken offense to the phrase, "No homo" doesn't bother me. All it says to me is that someone's too insecure to say something with even the tiniest hint of emotion without putting up a shield. That or they want to say the phrase 'I love you' to someone of the same sex without giving mixed signals xD I don't like Buzzfeed though. They did a list about Atheism that I didn't much appreciate -.-'
