How do I find out if someone else is gay. (I have someone specifically in mind) How do I ask them out if said person is of that sexual orientation. Very general questions; I looked at multiple sources but I wanted a broader opinion from everyone here in Empty Closets.
Think of the qualities that led you to know you were gay. See if this person mimics those traits. Sometimes it's very obvious, but others you have to watch for. Honestly, the only way you'd know is to ask, them come out to you, or just go ahead and ask them out and see what happens.
I would just get to know them as friends first and then go from there and bring up are you dating anyone? or do you like anyone of the opposite sex. I like to wait until i get to know someone a bit before dropping the gay question
Rather than asking them if they're gay, couldn't you just ask them out? Whether yes or no, you'll probably find out along with their answer. *As long as it actually is clear that it's a date and not just as friends, but enough planning can solve that hiccup.
I'll echo Argentwing and suggest that you ask, but say it this way: "Do you date guys?", that way you can get an answer without threatening his identity.
I'd like to clarify that I've known this person for a while so it's not like I just randomly saw someone and decided that I liked them.
