I don't imagine people in the bronze age even had the capacity to consider the concept...but maybe. Who knows? Here's one that's very much against Transgenderism and homophobic http://www.probe.org/site/c.fdKEIMN...f_Transgendered_People_and_Hermaphrodites.htm another transphobic one http://www.gotquestions.org/transsexualism-gender-identity-disorder.html I'm searching for ones that are for Transgenderism, but no luck thus far... This one offers an argument from both sides... http://www.christianpost.com/news/what-does-the-bible-say-about-trans-gender-identity-105311/ http://www.chicagonow.com/trans-girl-cross/2012/07/the-bible-being-transgender-and-me/ I'm sorry, but it seems that the bible doesn't have much to say. It hasn't stopped the Christians from making up their own rules about it though
No. The Bible says nothing about it. I have heard about a Wham Line or two that allegedly condemns it, but I've read those lines. They don't say a thing.
"Deuteronomy 22:5 5 “A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God." But I think that's about as close as you'll ever get. This article sums it up quite nicely: http://www.drbecky.com/lynnmont.html
There also this in Deuteronomy 23:1 “No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the LORD." So some kinds of reassignment surgery would thus be frowned upon. What a weird religion, though. I mean, suppose an anvil crushes my testicles, and all the sudden, I'm kicked out of the house of the LORD. Gimme a break. You'd think a person would have suffered enough having them crushed, let alone then being kicked out.
A lot of rules in the bible are kind of weird, and don't make a lot of sense. 0.0 I agree, if my testicles get crushed it seems like a 'kick me while I'm down' moment to reject me from heaven over it xD Though...maybe we should start crushing the testitcles of people from 'Westborough Baptist Church'? Then they won't be allowed in heaven and maybe they'll just give up and go home? j/k
I would assume the Bible would be negative on Transexuality, I have dappled in transvestitism, love it!:icon_wink
What do you think SOULS are!? Obviously you die, you go to heaven, bone up a storm and when the baby is born it becomes a life on earth! Which is why you're not supposed to waste sperm on earth! If there isn't a earth baby-body for the heaven-baby to go in to then the heaven-baby becomes a ghost!
It'd be awesome...cause at least there would be one thing worth doing in heaven. xD Seriously though I crown thee Queen of comedy for today ^^
