I am in the city for business at the moment and staying with friends. My friend and his girlfriend knows that I am gay. Tonight here was a bunch of other friends and musicians and I was in a bit of a silly mood (a bit excited because a new crush added me on FB). So the one guy wanted to know why I am so excited and I said loud and proud "I am gay". :icon_bigg They are all cool and open minded. The guy was a bit shocked because I do not resemble a "(stereo)typical" gay guy but otherwise he was cool. If feels good not having to hide behind an act
That's a cool story! I've yet to come out to a group of people like that, or even to somebody in front of someone else who already knows, it's always been one to one conversations. I really want to get to a point where whenever someone asks I can just say without being nervous at all about who's around, that's the goal. So yeah, good for you!
That is so great. I'm glad they took it so well. I wonder if artistically inclined people tend to be naturally more accepting. Regardless, it's so nice that you were able to come out to a group setting. Good luck with your friend
Thank you all for the kind comments I also came out "live" to a good friend this past weekend. We were driving in the car and I told him. Was trembling like crazy but he was sooo cool about it. My first "real life" coming out experience. Usually I do it through instant messaging.
