    hello,

    what lgbt themed series have you guys been watching lately? please share name of the series and why you like them.

    since the "l word" has ended ages ago, and frankly since carmen left, i felt like a piece of my soul was stolen. okay maybe i'm a little dramatic. lately, i have been searching the internet for lesbian series to fill the void, and below are some of what i found; let's support them so i can continue to watch more!

    I've been watching Queer As Folk (US) lately, I really like it because the stories are cool and the characters are funny. I also like how it deals with issues like homophobia, gay bashing and discrimination.

    I'm a fan of Out with Dad, a terrific web series. Although certain recent developments in the show promise to be very heavy on the heart. Not sure I can take it. :frowning2:

    I've been watching Looking, which is an HBO series. I like it because the actors are hot this show takes a different approach compared to other shows with gay characters. It deals with class, as not all of the characters are wealthy. On the other hand, other shows with gay characters usually portray them as wealthy, e.g. The New Normal, Modern Family, and that is far from the truth. I also like how viewers get thrown into the lives of the main characters who happen to be gay rather than it be about guys trying to figure out their sexuality.

    The first season is over, and the show has been renewed for season 2. So I'm just waiting until that comes along.

    In the meantime, I might watch The Fosters because I heard it is good...

    I watched The New Normal a bit last year! It was okay.

    Glee has had some good stories!

    Gonna look into "Looking", sounds interesting!

    Orange Is the New Black. I'm dying for season 2! I hope Alex takes Piper back. :tears:

    Oh, and The Fosters! I wish they focused more on Stef and Lena and less on the kids.

    I watch Orange is the New Black and Lost Girl. I am addicted to both. I was so pumped when I read that Lost Girl was going to have a 5th season and that Zoie Palmer (Lauren) came out.
