So my office had a question we all discussed...I don't know why

If you had to choose to spend a hundred days in one of these conditions and you HAD to go outside at least twice a day for at least 10 minutes each (so to start your car, or walk somewhere) which would you choose?

100 days of intense heat? Like 100 with humidity

    or

100 days with intene cold? Like -30 with wind

    These are in farenheit btw

So what is your choice and why?

    -------------------------------------------

My vote is heat. I know 100 degrees with humidty is sickeningly hot but I just cannot stand how hard it is to get warm on a -30 day with wind. It seems like no matter what I wear I am cold. Then the car has trouble starting and running. No no no...I just can't stand it

When I was in the Air Force (won't go into exact location) but I spent literally all of February of 2003 in the conditions I just explained...the entire month was -30 ambient and -60 windchill...it was easily the most miserable time of my life

Cold. You can put on layer after layer, but you can only lose so many layers until you're naked.

    wow...already 3 against the heat...I am amazed

The other problem I have is that when I am insanely cold it takes forever to warm up again when I do go inside...when I am hot, I shower and turn on the AC and bam...instantly better

I vote cold. I don't like being cold of course, but there is at least more I can do to counteract it than with extreme heat. 100 days of extreme heat at ridiculous humidity would just kill me... quite possibly literally. In that kind of heat I wouldn't even be able to move, let alone bear it. I think being too cold is marginally better than being too hot all the time.

I used to live in Queensland. The cold is so much better than the constant humid heat. There's no escape, and it makes me feel disgusting.

I'd go for the extreme cold and wind. I don't have that much summer clothes and I have TONS of sweaters and jackets, so it'd be more convenient.

I'd rather be in extreme cold conditions.

At times like that, you can snuggle up with your family next to a warm fire, drinking lovely cocoa  A very enjoyable experience.

While in the summer, sure, you can use portable fans and wear sunscreen and drink lots of water, but while those will help your wellbeing, are any of those things really enjoyable?

Heat. Although I hate bugs, wearing too much clothing is too uncomfortable

Cold. At least I can put on more layers or stay inside. I like the cold.
I hate the heat and humidity and can't stand even just one day of it. Sometimes the AC isn't enough to get rid of that gross stickiness in the air.

I'd take the next Ice Age over even the slightest increase in humidity...

    If I'm sick, hot weather.
    If I'm healthy, cold weather.
If I'm on a holiday to relax, hot weather.

Even though I dislike heat and humidity combined, I'm probably going to opt for it in this scenario. I could lounge by the pool in shorts with a cold drink in my hand - sounds very pleasant actually. I could even go naked if I was alone.
