First Date Ever!

Hi, and sorry if this is in the wrong thread area, but I just had to share this. After I came out 2 weeks ago, most of my friends have been very supportive. While talking to these friends, I found out that one of them is gay himself. I've known him since 2009, though he lives 2 hours away. He isn't out of the closet, except to his closest friends, and so I only recently found out. Anyways, he was coming to my area this weekend for a job trip, and he contacted me yesterday to see if I wanted to have dinner with him. Of course I said yes! I hated lying to my parents about where I was going, but it was the only way, and I couldn't waste this chance to see him again. To make a long story short I had a GREAT time, though I was shaking through the whole night, just excited and nervous at the same time. After dinner, we went walking around, and walked behind an abandoned Semi-Truck. He looked at me, and I looked at him. We wrapped our arms around each other and kissed passionately. This was my first kiss ever, and it. WAS. AMAZING! It felt like fireworks were shooting, and my mind was spinning in circles. I just stood there smiling for a minute afterwards. I couldn't sleep because I was so happy last night, and we are planning on doing it again today! So, if you don't think anyone will love you, or that you will never find the right person, don't give up. Because I almost did, and if I had given up, I would have missed out on the greatest night of my life.

I want to add to what I said before. Don't give up EVER. It is very cliché to say "it will get better" but it is used so much for a reason. 2 weeks ago when I came out, I thought that I was going to live alone forever, but you can never know when things will change. The last few days, I went from being "forever alone" to an active (If distant) relationship, and am on cloud 9. I now have a reason to get up in the morning, a reason to smile. A chance to look back at all of the people who told me I was never going to find someone, and laugh. It has been a good day.
