What did you dress up as at halloween as a kid?

Me, I was usually a vampire. I did a pirate once, and a ghost.

    Oh, nostalgia.
Hmm, I've been a ghost, a wizard, Sub-Zero and a generic black hooded figure.
The last time I donned a costume was around age 14.

Well when I was younger from 3 to 5 I was a fairy and The Pink Power Ranger (can't rember any younger), then the ones I can remember are vampire, pirate, and a faceless reaper.

Same. My extended family of Jehovah's Witnesses would disapprove, grandparents included.

Truthfully, I've never been a fan of Halloween and it's probably my least favorite holiday, though if I ever have kids, we're gonna pull out all the stops .

This must be a European thing... I find it sad tbh! :icon_sad:
In North America Halloween is huge and it would be hard to find someone who has never dressed up. : 3

I still dress up and most years I'm something different. ^_^

I was a bat two years in a row.

I've tried being a vampire, but I hate putting things in my mouth and how can I be a vampire without fangs?

My very first Halloween my parents dressed me up as a ghost...looking back at the pictures I looked like a little baby Klansman.

I dressed as a vampire in 2nd grade and as Raiden from Mortal Kombat in 3rd grade. The Raiden costume was a slightly small for me, so it felt uncomfortable to wear, lol.

I've been Bugs Bunny, an Alpine boy in leiderhosen, a clown, and my favorite, a poodle (my grandmother made it for me)...you would have thought I knew I was gay then, but noooooo. :roflmao:

As an adult Mario Butali. I even had orange clogs.

I remember being Pikachu one year. Then I just got lazy and I don't know afterwards. 2012 and 2013, I was Tinky Winky for Halloween. People got a kick out of that

I was frequently a classic Dracula-esque vampire. Didn't bother with the false teeth, though-- they were a pain in the neck. (ba dum tss)

I also went as Harry Potter one year, Neo from The Matrix, and a Jedi knight. Probably a few others but those were the most memorable, especially Harry Potter because it took freaking forever to get the black dye out of my hair XD.

As a kid? My mom pushed me towards princesses so that's precisely what I did. Haven't done it since I was a kid but if I'm ever given the chance to hit up a party (however unlikely) then I'll consider it. What as? No idea.

Hmm. I was under the impression girls who did princesses went that way because of their own decisions. Especially if you didn't want to wear those kinds of costumes, I find it a little weird that a mom would try to direct her kids' halloween costume choice for reasons other than appropriateness and cost.

Positive reinforcement, you might say. She often bought the costumes herself. Got to choose as I got older but by that point, kind of knew what I was 'supposed to' wear. Wasn't like I could say "Gee mom, I want to be Indiana Jones this year." I knew what girls were supposed to wear so Halloween was really just "pick something that fits that criteria that I'm not too fat to fit into".

I don't think I've ever honestly dressed up as something I really wanted to.

I always picked some kind of a new costume each year. I was a devil with cat ears one year and called myself the "catty devil", and then the year before I was Dracula. My two friends and I had all wanted to go as vampires, and I was so ready for it. Halloween came, and they were wearing these girly, frilly dresses with fangs. Meanwhile, my whole face was covered in white paint, I had a collared shirt, fake blood everywhere, and looked pretty freaking fabulous. My fav costume was Bellatrix Lestrange though, because I got to run down the street yelling "I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK!"

Despite the fact I no longer trick-or-treat, I have a costume planned for this year. I'm going as one of these guys...
