I would have answered Bush Light not to long ago but now I have a new favorite. About a month ago I was at a bar flirting with a straight guy (wow the difference a few months makes) and he was drinking a darker beer that I had never heard of called Shiner Bock. He let me try a sip and I havn't drank amything else since. This stuff is pretty good and has a price point just slightly above Budweiser.
I know there are plenty of people here that are too young to drink but of those that do what do you like? (doesn't have to be beer)

Shiner Bock is the only beer I drink. I can't stand most of the major breweries' beers. Shiner also makes other seasonal beers I enjoy. I think it's the most favorite beer of Texans.

We don't get Shiner up here. At least I'm not aware of it if we do. I'll have to look for it at Beers of the World

I drink more Heinekin than anything else. So I guess it's my favorite.

No American beer would make it into my favourites.
My favourite is Guinness, but I like nearly all type of beers, really. I don't hate any kind.

I'm flexible. I'd guess my favorite is Belgian style ale.

I don't like beer that seems overwhelmingly bitter. This, of course, is a personal perception and Your Mileage Varies deal.

Almost everything I drink is craft or import. I sometimes buy major brewery beer, but its main value is reminding me of why I buy something else most of the time.

As the joke puts it: what does having sex in a canoe and American beer have in common?

A: Both are F-- close to water.

Well, Bock (Shiner Bock) is their flagship beer and the one that you'll probably find easiest outside of the state. Right now, the popular beer they're marketing is the Shiner White Wing (Belgian White), which has a good taste. I also like the Shiner FM 966 Farmhouse Ale that is pretty good (I suck at describing beers, I just know if I like it or not :lol:slight_smile:. You might wanna look for the Shiner Family Reunion 6 or 12pack that has 6 different beers to try. At present, I believe it has a Blonde, Hefeweizen, Black Lager- Bohemian, and a few others I can't recall. Probably one of the better ways to try a good sampling. In the summer, they have the Ruby Redbird that has grapefruit flavor for the hot Texas summers .

    Bud Light Platinum by far.

They have the capability of getting you to feel good pretty quickly too.

I don't drink much but when I do there's nothing very adventurous. Bud Light, Corona, Blue Moon, Molson Ex, Labatt Bleue. I don't drink often enough to say I really have a favorite.

The seasonals that Shiner has are good.
The seasonals that Samual Adams are also good.

    I like them the best.
Blue Moon is decent although I don't like their RedHouse Ale nor their Gingerbread Spiced Ale

Loads of good craft hipster beers up in my state. Alaskan ale's not bad but gotta admit, I'm drawing from a pretty small pool here. Good beer, at this point, is anything that's not Bud.

    Wow... amateurs.

Heady Topper is a double ipa from the Alchemist in Vermont and is the #1 rated beer according to beer advocate. I had 2 last night.

Brooklyn black ops bourbon stout is also fantastic. Kentucky Bourbon Stout by founders is amazingly smooth for 15% alcohol.

Yes I only drink the best microbrews. I am a beer snob.

Can they compete with the Big Flats 6-pack of beer I can get at Walgreens for $2.98?
