Just wanted to get an idea of what people thought of as the sexiest accents. I like British accents, like many people I know, but my real weakness is for an Irish accent. A good Irish accent can make me swoon.

This is kinda weird for me, since I LOVE linguistics and phonology, so actually - someone WITHOUT an accent is sexier for me. I love people who can perfectly pronounce the English language. :3

Same for me. I don't care much for accents as long as the person can speak properly and pronounce their words without tripping.

I don't really care but there are two accents which are somewhat turn-offish to me.

Those being Spanish (as in from Spain) and Central American... probably because I associate them with junk TV from there.

dang, this is so hard, i think all accents are pretty sexy.... hmmmm but for the most? i would probably have to go with any hispanic accent, i dont think my ears are trained enough to tell the difference between the different ones.

A soft British accent, I'd say. Not heavy, but just a little bit. I don't mind Russian accents, either. But generally, if I find someone hot, I'll find their accent hot, no matter what it is.

Well, an accent wouldn't stand in my way if I liked someone, but I do find a posh British Colin Firth-esque accent somewhat irresistable, especially if they speak quickly. (I'm thinking David Tennant in the new Doctor Who, that kind of speaking! Also, Mohinder from Heroes; his voice could put me into a very relaxed and lovely sleep

)

I also like New Zealand accents, and Scottish ones ^_^
