I am seriously tempted to stop voting from the EU elections in May.

I mean its a waste of time on people who are not worth it , nothing changes

That's the classic dilemma here in the states. Anywhere really.

It is also your right not to vote, so exercise it.

I personally have no interest in politics. I feel like if people don't truly know what the parties are talking about doing and voting anyways, it's just as bad as not voting. When I'm old enough, unless I feel like I really know what's going on, I don't plan on voting.

So, in short, no. I don't/wouldn't.

I'm going to say "somewhat" because even if one vote does not do much and things don't really change, the leaders we choose (even though the options are decided for us) still matter.

If I'll have the age to vote I think I wouldn't go either. One vote more or less is not that important as the government says.

Voting is a wasted effort =/

Guy 1.) Screws you over this way

Guy 2.) Screws you over that way

and nobody is on your side.

You're choosing between a thief and a thief. Either way you go, you're losing. =/

I'm an independent, so probably no.
All were doing is voting for the lesser of two evils, people from both parties are complete asshats. I still want to vote once I'm old enough to do so, but I certainly don't blame the people that choose not to.

    I wouldn't judge.

Personally, I enjoy more voting on state and local elections than federal ones because I feel it makes a greater impact on the day-to-day matters.

No, since I don't really vote, either, and have little interest in politics outside of a theoretical level. In fact, most millennials don't, although they tend to lean left.

    EXACTLY.
Independents are shunned in the political arena regardless of their views and the Libertarian Party is becoming more right-wing by the minute. I still want to vote, but only because I can. I honestly don't think it makes much of a difference at this point.

Yeah if I actually voted for who I wanted to I'd basically be throwing my vote in the trashcan.

In all reality my vote is literally meaningless.

Why would I bother to vote?

Wasting an hour going to the polling station just to put an "x" next to some old farts' name?

That's an hour of my life that I'll never get back.

    Agreed.

Anyone who wants to vote for anything other than Democrat or Republican doesn't even really get a vote. In fact we've gotten to the point where they won't let third-party candidates into the debates...so they're basically send the message you choose 'corporate produced guy A' or 'corporate produced guy B' and like it =/

No, I wouldn't. Because personally I don't support any government groups (based on living in Australia)

Haven't you all gone through a few Prime Ministers in the last year? Or am I thinking of a different country?

Sometimes you have to choose the "lesser of the evils" when voting. So even if no one is viewed as "worth it," there is still likely one that still will be perhaps slightly better and it is probably best to make the effort that they get elected.

And as my dad would always say, "if you don't vote, you can't complain."

I'm from Australia too, What's happened the last five or so years in particular has turned me off voting for life.

Id high five them. The more people who refuse to keep the façade going the better. I don't believe in choosing somebody i don't agree with just because they're one of two people picked because they'll win votes. That isn't choice at all.

Obviously there's exceptions, but in high level politics anyway, anyone who honestly thinks who they vote for actually gives a shit about anything but money and status is kidding themselves.

Well actually you can complain. I'm not going to be forced into a choice that means nothing. If you want I can cast my vote independant then complain too. In no scenario am I going to intentionally endorse a person who at their core is 'evil' and act like I'm doing the world a favor.
