I'm not entirely sure if this thread should go here or in the entertainment sub-forum, but this seemed like the beasiest place to put it.

I have never watched any yaoi anime and I'm wondering what some ones are that you all recomend as a starting place. Any reccomendations would be extremely helpful.

Soft or hard yaoi? Since you are a newbie to yaoi anime I would say that a good starting point would be Junjou Romantica or Gravitation.

First of all I recommend (highly recommend) Gravitation. Is the number one yaoi anime I recommend to everybody who wants to watch Yaoi. Because it's funny, romantic, interesting and full of cuteness. I watched it and I love every bit. It's my all time favorite.

I don't really watch much yaoi anime, BUT there's a lot of yaoi pairings that I obsess over!

    Thiefshipping (Yami BakuraxMarik-YuGiOh)

    Originalshipping (RedxGreen-Pokemon series)

    Preciousmetalshipping (GoldxSilver-Pokemon series)

    Sonadow (SonicxShadow-Sonic the Hedgehog series)

    GakupoxKaito-Vocaloid (I don't think this has a name...)

I know I ship more, that's just all I could think of at the top of my head.

Yikes, in one sitting? That's impressive.

Hmm... I know Loveless also has an anime to it.

You also might wanna watch Big Windup, Hetalia, and Free Iwatobi Swim Club as all of those have homoromantic vibes, at the very least. They tend to be argued over whether or not they're yaoi.

Each episode is only 20 minutes long, and I had an empty Sunday... Also, I'll take a look at some of the others.

My vote goes to Junjou Romantica. I like how the series jumps back and forth between the lives of 3 couples. Nowaki x Hiroki forever!

I've seen even less yaoi than I have yuri, but I did enjoy No. 6. It's about two boys (who fall for each other, of course) living in a dystopia and ultimately overturning the system.

I dislike yaoi and prefer bara...
Yeah, I can't help you much.
I heard that Gravitation was good, but the protagonist is scrawny...
