It seems like most straight girls can easily kiss girls without being grossed out. They may not enjoy the act of kissing girls, but they don't get grossed out. Lesbians and straight guys usually seem to get grossed out by kissing guys. I don't know much about gay men.
I think with guys it has to do with the HUGE expectation for guys to be manly and tough. So kissing a boy does not work with that because that is being somewhat submissive... or something. :| As for lips I find the best kiss comes from "bigger" lips and many boys have that, but more girls do.
I think It's more of a social constructed thing. It seems like kissing/being sexual with a girl doesn't threaten someone's sexuality (You can still be a straight girl or gay guy if you do it), but kissing/being sexual with a guy does (You have to be a straight girl/gay guy if you have male experience now, or at least bisexual). Asinine, I know.
I don't get grossed out, but it depends on the people. I like kissing girls, because I feel calmness and sweetness with them. When I kiss and make out with a boy, it's a whole different vibe, it's like heavy metal and glass breaking. Both I like, but at the moment I can think about only kissing one guy and this is it! LOL.
Yes I think it's more acceptable to for girls to kiss another even if their straight, when I was in high school a number of guys would ask girls to kiss each other for their enjoyment. A lot of my friends are like this too, even though the majority of my friends are bisexual/pansexual, but at the same time most of them don't take it seriously, and their boyfriends don't mind at all or consider it cheating. I have never seen a straight guy kiss another guy, I'm sure it has happened I guess you just don't see it often. I agree with fallingdown as well.
I don't get grossed out kissing guys and I have made out with a few guys in the past . So it's not true that all lesbians think kissing guys are gross. I did think kissing my first boyfriend was gross when I was 14 but I have kissed a few guys and thought it wasn't gross I just didn't feel anything . it was like a kiss on the cheek nothing special kissing a girl on the other hand feels sooooo Good I love it .
I don't think it's entirely socially constructed. When I thought I was straight I still got grossed out by kissing guys.
I am primarily attracted to pretty people who are either feminine or androgynous regardless of their gender. Haven't done much kissing as I have been single most of my life.
Kissing guys is the BEST! But, if I didn't feel that way I would probably be straight. Seriously though. I think kissing and being kissed by other guys is an incredible feeling. It's like warmth going through my whole body.
I like to kiss girls more but if it's the right guy I would enjoy a kiss with him. Girls just have a sweeter kiss than guys. Well that's my oppinion.
Probably not for gay men (aside from being more socially acceptable). And I'm sure there are straight women who are completely turned off by the thought of kissing another.
I don't like kissing anyone except if it was my significant other, of course. Random friendly kisses are not my thing. I don't even do hugs. I feel very awkward when people try to hug me. I guess, I'm not a typical female.
Well you see it really depends on the person more than gender. I think everyone else had it covered when they said it was mostly a society thing with males. As for other factors kissing girls in some instances can be better because of the submissive factor while kissing a male can be better due to the dominance factor. The same could be said for either gender really, it all depends on the person.
