I like actual rainbows (you know the ones you see after it rains), but I hate rainbow colors in almost every other aspect.

And I hate that the rainbow is the symbol for gay people. I LOVE BLACK AND DARK BLUE!!! Why do I have to be represented by an obnoxiously colored rainbow!!

I know there are far more important things to complain about and it's really not a huge issue, but I personally do not like the rainbow.

Symbolically, rainbows tend to represent harmony and acceptance. That's kind of what we stand for, isn't it? ^^

Me too. The skittles make the love the rainbow.

Although now it makes the phrase "Taste the Rainbow" like 20% dirtier.

Rainbows are an omen of death. The road between midgard and asgard, upon which valkyries descended to bring the dead and brave to valhalla from the blood soaked fields.

    That's... one interpretation.

As much as I like Norse mythology I think I'll stick with my version, thank you.

I love the Asexual flag's colors. But the rainbow is awesome too. I tend to wear black, grey, army green, and dark blue so my rainbow bracelet really sticks out, haha.

Really, it's rumored to originally have been the "human flag". Each color represents something in every human being that's ever lived on this earth. And that's essentially what the "Gay agenda" sets out to do: Treat everybody as an equal despite differences, because we're all humans.

I know a flag that's predominately dark blue and black xD Maybe we need to make the rainbow badass. I can't believe I've never thought about that! I'll get a pinbadge for my rucksack. I don't want to be 'in your face', but I know most people wouldn't start nonsense with me. I have positive associations with the rainbow.

Gotta admit I'm jealous of their cool flag as well. I don't think I could wear rainbow patterns though. I mostly wear white, light or dark blue, black, bright red, dark green, and yellow. My wardrobe is colourful enough!

Black and dark blue? Boooo! :eusa_naug

I love the rainbow, I have rainbow bracelets, rainbow flags, rainbow scarfs, rainbow bowties, rainbow hats, rainbow key chains, rainbow chain purses, rainbow lanyards, pretty much everything rainbow.

I love the fact that such beautiful colorful imagery has become our official symbol of gay pride.

Plus the rainbow being a symbol of gay pride pisses off a lot of homophobic conservatives and religious nuts, like Jennifer Roback Morse, a viciously hateful homophobic religious nut who tried a "take back the rainbow" campaign, saying "the rainbow is a sign of God's covenant with man." She also said “We can’t simply let that go by. Families put rainbows in their children’s nurseries. Little Christian preschools will have rainbows…Noah’s Ark and all the animals…. Those are great Christian symbols, great Jewish symbols.”

Her hateful "take back the rainbow" campaign failed miserably of course, the rainbow never belonged to hatemongers in the first place, it belongs to us queer folk, because we are so vibrant and colorful!

    Taste the rainbow!

Well, I do use the rainbow, or Roy G. Biv, to organize my shirts in the closet .

I don't mind the rainbow except when used in a promiscuous sense (e.g. leather-brief wearing guys waving a rainbow flag at pride).

Presently, I don't think I have any rainbow paraphernalia but I like that it's a universal symbol to identify "us gays." Though, if I had to wear anything gay related, it'd be a discrete HRC-logoed shirt, much more understated.
