Has any openly gay boy ever traveled somewhere else and roomed with straight boys? Like did you ever shared a room full a straight boys and they felt uncomfortable or weird around you? What were some experiences? I'm just curious.

Um, Rakkaus, I think he means the other way around: Does it ever feel weird rooming with straight guys?

To that, I say it depends on who it is. For example, for the year, I've had to room with 3 other straight guys. I was pretty fine with 2 of them, but it really seems like my "gayness" really got to one of the other ones (who's huge into sports, hip-hop/EDM, and has been an athlete for quite some time), or maybe it was his friends my "Gayness" had gotten to. Kinda seems like we're just tolerating each other's existence until it's time for the apartment to change the housing for people.

I have shared a room with straight guys on numerous occasions, none of them had a problem with me or anything. My sexuality is something we allude to and joke about alot

I think it's in part generational and in part the culture in which people were raised. Most of the people I know who are under 30 are pretty comfortable around gay people and don't really have any issues rooming with them, showering with them, and so forth. Among older people, super religious people, and ignorant/uneducated people it's more likely to be a big deal.
