I don't know what a "maladaptive" daydreamer is, but I am a serious daydreamer (I get bored easily), just how maladaptive is your case?
First of all, I had to look up what that was XD. I've been daydreaming a lot lately but not quite to that level. I generally do it while listening to music every night. But I don't think I'm a maladaptive daydreamer, at least not yet.
Heck yeah. Used to do that all day. Grades suffered from it though. Had a terrible plot though. ---------- Post added 3rd Apr 2014 at 04:42 PM ---------- Not as a response to trauma though. Just venting creativity.
I tend to pace a lot which then consumes my time and I also listen to music while I daydream. When I talk to Trevor I express facial expression, and sometimes it's awkward when someone sees me. I also talk to Trevor a lot. I often make up stories in my head, which is good for writing. So yeah
I daydream a lot, yeah. Sometimes during lecture I'll zone out and not even realize it. It's a pretty annoying habit to have as a college student. My mind just doesn't do well with staying one thing for a long period of time!
Yes and no as to the daydreaming. I guess that it would have to hinder daily functioning to be considered a problem. In some cases, it has, but not always.
