Individual vs. marriage

    So today I was explained about Mormon religion and so they in one part explained that Mormons accept gays as individual, but gay marriage isn't accepted because it's more than a religious thing. It's okay being accepted as a gay person than to he marriage, even though I'm pro. Marriage doesn't make love and they can take our marriage rights, but they will never take the love from us. What are your opinions?

    I'd rather have both. And although this isn't the main topic, I'm pretty sure the LDS church agrees with the Bible (even though that book is viewed as slightly flawed) in its condemnation of sexual acts between people of the same sex. I'm not certain what original Mormon scripture says on the subject... could look it up on Google, but "meh"...
