    You don't have to....

There is no law what so ever stating you have to pay.

The money goes towards the federal reserve to pay off the debt given by them.

    Madness.

    Just found this out.

    haha

That's been an ongoing argument for many years. That the tax code was not passed as law correctly, and therefore it's null and void, and you don't have to pay. Because of this, several people have attempted to refuse payment, saying the tax laws aren't legal.

Many of these people have been audited.
A few have gone to court.
    None have won.

Maybe it IS totally bogus and illegal. But the court system doesn't agree.

ahah Some/most americans think they have to pay what called the Federal Income Tax.

When for 1 its unconstitutional and the fact that there is NO law stating it has to be paid.

(The Federal part is what confuses people)
The money which equals out to 25% of the countries wages goes to the
Federal Reserve (which isnt a federal company, just a title) and the money
pays off the debt the Federal Reserve automaticly GIVES US citezens simply by owning a dollar note.

1 doller + "x" percentage of what the dollar is worth at print due to inflattion

Im pretty sure thats the debt equation given.

But of course to pay off this debt more money is needed and the more money needed is the more debt given.

US citezens are getting pwned tbf...

It's been argued in court, henson. It's legal.

Did you know stop signs with a white border are optional? You don't have to stop at them?

uh....you DO have to pay a federal income tax, and yes, there is a law stating that you do. The law that imposes the tax is stated in section 1 of the Internal Revenue Code (aka Title 26 of the United States Code, which IS LAW). Go HERE to see.

Or if you can't understand that, go HERE for a dumbed-down explanation.

Bottom line: YOU DO HAVE TO PAY A FEDERAL INCOME TAX!!!

Yea, you don't have to pay it, but...then you get audited and have your non tax-paying butt dragged into court.

To put it simply, just pay the feds their money.

It doesn't matter who put it into place, we have to pay it.

I don't think you understand. If my parents didn't pay their income tax, they would be audited, have their wages garnished, get fined, be sent to court...the list goes on. It's all well and good to say something is illegal and unconstitutional in America and decide you won't follow the laws, but then you have to pay the price for that.

Remember, this is government, anything government is screwed up, period.

and let's put it this way, it really does not matter where or if this is on the law books, simply not paying = court / jail / fines

I love people who try and tell me crap like that to get out of a ticket.
the best one is, it is illegal to give me a ticket and not a warning if I wasn't going 10 over the limit.
55 in a 50 zone is still over the limit, period.

I could be totally making this up, but I could have sworn that the police who taught me driver's ed. said that local/county police have to give you a 5 mph grace?

We don't have to give a grace, if your over the limit we can cite you.

that being said, most officers (myself included) will give you a break of 5-10 Mph depending on traffic conditions. We don't want to pull into heavy traffic to nail you for 5 over. We would rather wait for the drunk or guy doing 15 over.

I even give warnings or drop the speed on the ticket for people going 20+ if you are nice, and don't give me any problems. I'd rather go find another car with a real bad guy, then have to go face you in court for simply driving over the speed limit. (20 over and you have to go to court down here)

That being said, I have friends who are hard-asses and will stop you for 1 over the limit.

Also depends on detection method, Radar can be 3-5 Mph off target in either direction.

The tax was put in place to pay off debts from the Civil War.

The tax pays off various services and if you don't pay Mr. IRS will come and make you along with interest and penalty fees. Just pay up and you won't have a problem.

Also, the Constitution can be interpreted MANY ways including the right to bear arms (some suggest it only applies to militias, and we all know they don't exist today, we have a real military).

the best one is, it is illegal to give me a ticket and not a warning if I wasn't going 10 over the limit.

My favorite one is that if you don't sign the ticket, it doesn't count. I can't recall when I heard that one, but it cracked me up. File it next to "if your college roommate commits suicide, you get straight As that semester".
