Just curious, how many of you have tried to determine your number on the kinsey scale, and how accurately did your result reflect on your opinion of your sexuality? I know there's this test online, a few months ago I took it and I got a 2, which was kinda how I felt at that time. A few days ago I took it again and I got a 3 this time, so their description for that is something like "equally homosexual and heterosexual", but to be honest I'm feeling somewhat further towards the homosexual side at the moment lol, so maybe 4ish.

Those 'tests' don't actually mean anything...if you think you're 4ish then you probably are.

Online tests are usually inaccurate. They're there for a rough idea of where you fall on the scale.

Most of the ones I took are highly inaccurate because they don't have all the possible orientations in their results.

I've done loads of these online tests fore suavity and personality. I sometimes do just for fun to see what they churn out. To be honest intend to find them a bit hit and mis.

As for Kinsey scale I would rate myself at about 2.5 - 3. I don't really need a test to determin that though.

    Happy days

    Yeah, well I guess it's vaguely accurate, as in I'm not a 0 or a 6...
There was another one I took that had more detailed questions about emotional, physical, and social aspects or something, but it came up with 0, completely heterosexual. think it must have been broken! weird.

I don't really know about the scale enough to rate myself

yep I think going with what my head says is more accurate in the end  what is good about the kinsey scale though is that it emphasizes that sexuality is a continuum, though it probably doesn't acknowledge asexual/demisexual/pansexual etc. enough.

I've taken it before and I got a "4" on it but I think I'm more of a "5", maybe I'm just dangling between the two.

I don't take much notice of it, though.

Honestly I've never put any weight behind any online tests, though if I had to make an estimation I'd say between 5 and 6, only because I still want to be attracted to the opposite sex.

I've took a "kinsey scale test", it said I'm somewhere between 2 and 3, but I don't believe in these tests anyway...

I haven't took the test but according to the scale I would say I'm between 5 and 6 but more tendencies towards 6.

I got zero (straight man). A little bit binary but I think it was nearly accurate.

Until I joined this forum, I'd never heard of the Kinsey scale.
