    Hi

Just wondering what do you all think about the italian accent, about an italian who speaks in english. Do you like it? Dislike? Is it all the same?

I wonder that because I'm afraid to speak in english. I'm afraid to appear "stupid" Please, tell me I haven't to think so! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I think it's kind of cool... the only Italian who is speaking in English type of thing I can think of though is like classic New York City mobsters. :icon_redf

Honestly I'd never thought about it until you mentioned it, and if I'm honest the only examples of an Italian accent are Ezio from assassins creed, and a few characters from the simpsons...so not exactly the best examples...

Are you kidding? Italian accents are bellissimo! <3 People won't think you're stupid; they'll more likely be absolutely charmed.

^^The Simpsons reference reminded me of the jokes where people add the "-a" to English consonant sounds without vowels in between, but I think you should be fine.

I generally like it. It can sound nice and, on those whose English is really, really broken, it doesn't sound as good. For them, it tends to sound more comical.

Generally, I think the French accent has it over the Italian accent by a slim margin.

In general, I find accents cute, even those of other regions of my country.

    I'm indifferent about accents.
However, if you have an accent, people will probably be easier on you if you make a mistake in your English. It works to your advantage.

I very much like them. My grandparents spoke in a Sicilian dialect, and English, with a Sicilian accent, and it brings back fond memories. A bit odd sounding, compared to Italian. Plus, I think all my Italian-related cousins turned out really cute. I like dark hair, and a Mediterranean complexion.

Ha yeah the Italian accent is sexy. And by that I mean Italian from Italy, not Italian-American. (I'm part Italian, and the stereotypical Italian-American accent is not sexy!)

But Italian itself is much more sexy. In my junior year of college I studied abroad in Rome, Italy, and I loved just walking around the cobblestone streets hearing the word "allora" over and over again a thousand times lol.
