I do not. It really annoys me when people do that.

No. Hearing "gay" used insultingly makes me view the speaker as having the maturity of an elementary student--they lose a great deal of my respect.

I correct people when they do that.

Typically, I don't. I especially do not in public.
But my boyfriend uses it constantly. I'm not bothered by it, and when I'm with him, I might even use it in a derogatory way in a joke or two.

I understand why people dislike it being used in that way, but I don't mind it myself.

Maybe its because I'm egotistical, well IT IS but I describe things I think are superior with it. Joking aside I use it just to actually describe stuff that are cute or girly. That is just how I do it though. Maybe I'm weird...

No, it annoys the hell out of me (when it is used as a negative slur at least) and seems like I would be insulting myself if I were to use it, which I never would. It also seems pretty counterproductive if a gay person were to say it and it makes people who use it as a slur sound like bigots which they either are or they're not really smart enough to realize that they are acting like bigots. Again, this is only for when it is used as a negative slurat least, but I don't use it as a slur at all, and I don't think it's a good idea to use as a positive slur or any slur at all, in my opinion. It just doesn't seem appropriate to use it as a slur in any sense to me.

I personally dislike it I think it's distasteful and shows immaturity. That's just me though.

I have before and would still without a lot of objection, but I've moved on from the word. As my latent homophobia is going away, so too is the bad connotation.

I used to, back when I was trying to be "straight" and act like all the other "Straight" guys haha, but I always felt awkward using it, so I stopped. Plus I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I'm not offended by it personally, but I can see how some people might be.

I rarely used it as a slur during middle school. Many peers used it, so I picked it up.

But once I entered high school, I started to accept my sexual orientation and understood why it was offensive. It was then that it became eliminated from my vocabulary as a slur.

My kids do sometimes and I hate it. Funny thing is neither of them have a homophobic bone in their body and I find it strange they feel comfortable doing this.

I never have and honestly it annoys me when people do use it as a slur. I don't hold any grudges against them or think of them differently (unless, of course, it was meant to be an outward insult to someone or was demeaning to gays) but it does annoy people when they could just as easily say an real slur or insult.

No. My sister and I call each other gay as a way of poking fun at each other every time the other one starts talking about girls, but she's out as pan and we both think we might be gay, so I don't count that as a slur, cause we literally are gay.

I don't. If the situation demands that someone says "that was retarded," I will say it.

I shout gay when I see straight people kiss, and I shout straight when I see gay people kiss, it really confuses the crap out of people.
But people who know me understand my insane humour

I don't use it as a slur, but I will use it in a slightly negative manner to say that something is "too gay" (read: flamboyant).

I don't really use it as a slur, but I will use it in the "gay moment" and "gay stereotype" ways.
I'm not offended easily. However, my vulgar word of choice would be fuck. It has a sharpness to it that using gay does not. In addition, it doesn't really have a history as a slur, so I end up dodging a ton of backlash.
