is it just me or when you try to be the first person to post on a thread someone seems to jump in and beat you to it by a matter of seconds? or is it just me? has this happened to you?

There are a buncha people lookin at threads and postin, course you're gonna get others gettin there ahead of you. and others postin before you doesn't invalidate your post so....how is it annoyin really?
Thread ninja-ing happens all the time. Usually the effect is minimal, because the only injury to the victim is pride.
When breaking news happens, I try to be the first to post a thread on it in the news section. I've been beaten a couple times.
It doesn't make any difference to me. I do hate when I post in the What Are You Thinking thread and end up being the last post on that page before it gets to a new page. It alwaaaaays happens, haha.
